Runs very loud

It's the loudest refrigerator I've ever had and it always seems to be running. I'm counting on my energy bills to be much higher from now on. The price was right when I bought it, but over time with the energy bills, that will correct itself. Time will tell.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Surprisingly Roomy!

Wanted to replace our 20 yr old, 20.5 cu ft GE fridge. We have a have a very shallow space for a fridge - only 29 " deep. Couldn't afford counter depth, so after much shopping around, online, looking at all brands, we reluctantly decided to go with this 17.5 GE, because it fit the space best and was budget friendly, but not very exciting. It's dependability reputation helped sealed the deal, our old fridge is an older generation of this one and its still going strong. Well, when we received it, what a pleasant surprise - everything fits and we love the layout! Interior space is used very well. Freezer is a little small. It doesn't seem to run excessively loud. In fact, it runs less than the old one. The stainless steel finish is beautiful and dresses up this basic fridge. GE never disappoints. We always have gotten a lot of bang for the buck, especially compared to competitors.
I would recommend this to a friend!
