Since I cannot get the dot on the lid to match up with the dot on the base, the chopper will not even start.

The lid breaks

I bought one and used it for 6 months. The safety lid portion breaks so easily and you cant use it anymore

Great function, poor lid design

I use this product at lease 2-3 times a week and love it. Unfortunately the lid locking mechanism broke off and results in the blender not being able to function. I understand the added safety feature of the locking lid however I’m disappointed a perfectly good blender cannot be used because of a broken tab. I tried to look and see if I could purchase another lid however only the bowls can be purchased separate. Any way Black and Decker can send a replacement lid? I don’t want to throw this blender out!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Lid breaks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had one of these that lasted for almost 20 years. I replaced it and the locking part ot the lid broke within 2 months of light use. I replaced that one and the same part of the lid broke off in about the same amount of time. Very disappointed.

My fiance loves this!

It works really well, and is easy to use, clean and takes up very little space on my counter. We love this thing, my fiance more than me because it saves him time with prepping ingredients.

Locking lid designed to fail

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When it worked it worked fine for small jobs for which you don't want to haul out your big processor. Used this unit less than 10 times and as reported by others the fragile plastic lid lock broke off (under very light pressure) rendering the unit useless. Replacement lid costs online are half the cost of a new unit plus shipping which makes that an unfeasible alternative. Unless lid is redesigned I'd avoid this product
