Horrible design

As the saying goes ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. I absolutely love My Handy Chopper Plus that I got 20+ years ago. I’ve never had any issues with it. I use It often and figured I would look another just as a back up. Well this new design ‘One Touch Choper’ is horrible. It’s cheaply made, the blades aren’t positioned well so I have To constantly reposition food inside. The lid doesn’t interlock like the old model, so it is flimsy at best. I’m so disappointed. Why change a design when it works?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

easy to use

This little chopper is easy to use, easy to clean. Just takes seconds to make a quick salsa. Each evening I make my toothless cat a "Kitty soup". Clean up is just about as quick. Been VERY please with it.

not worth the money

I bought this to replace a B&D chopper that worked wonderfully but the top wasn't submersible so I was never sure how clean I could get it. This doesn't chop at all. The first time I tried it it seemed OK but subsequent uses have seen the blade whir around without doing much chopping. It feels like it needs something extra on the lid to hold the blade attachment down. I see they have a new one similar to my old one that is dishwasher safe so I guess I'll give that one a try. And, yes, I did line up the dots and make sure the base was lined up properly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

i have had this one touch chopper for sometime now.. and luv it, sturdy, chops anything I drop in it....apples, onions, etc. cleans well!! try one -- great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the first food chopper I've felt comfortable letting my young grandkids use (with my supervision, of course). We chopped chicken, nuts, celery and onion to go in our chicken salad. Then we chopped chocolate chips to see how little we could get them; then had to make a coconut pie to sprinkle it over.
I like the size and the light weight of the unit. It's easy to move around from area to area. And the large handle on the lid is easy to grab, even with buttery fingers.
Cleaning the unit is so quick and easy. Everything comes apart and goes back together so smoothly!
Love this little gadget; and I've always done it all by hand! More time for the kids! Thank you.

So simple!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Black and Decker One Touch 1.5 cup chopped is so easy to use! Perfect for chopping nuts. I love that it is small so not necessary to pull out a big clunky food processor if you only need a small amount. I have used this to process cookie crumbs and Graham crackers crumbs for my Christmas desserts. Just drop in the cookies and put on the lid. One touch really does the job quickly and easily! I will be using it all the time! Love that it is compact and easy to clean. Only 4 parts to assemble back together!

The top lid broke right away

I bought this less than a year ago,i hardly used it,i was happy with it,until the top lock broke.i am trying to look for a replacement lid.i dont know where.its still under warranty but i dont know what to do.it works perfectly fine,but without the lock its useless.where can i get a lid?somebody please help me

I've had this for years and no idea why I keep it. I think in all the years I've had the thing I got it to work once. It has to be lined up exactly somehow but to be able to get it lined up is a huge study in total frustration. You work with it for maybe 1/2 hour before you just finally put it back up on the shelf and then cut up by hand what you need. I should have trashed this thing years ago.
