I had a Sunbeam mixer for years and used it weekly. It did a wonderful job of beating, mixing, etc. When the motor died I decided to replace it with another Sunbeam. The new one does a TERRIBLE job of beating...to beat egg yolks to thick it took over 20 minutes, when the old one was done in about 7 minutes! The power is so much less than my old one.It never gets all ingredients along bowls side, and I do not like not being able to disengage head from stand as my previous one, even though it was heavy to hold.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It worked for 60 seconds and stopped

This has never happened with anything I have ever purchased in my life. After 60 seconds it just stopped mixing two cups flour with an egg. I'm stunned, No burning odor..no sparks just nothing. It's in perfectly new condition...from what I am reading this has been a failure to others as well. What do have to say Sunbeam?

Very disappointed

I bought the Sunbeam white mixmaster ln November. I am so disappointed in this mixmaster. When I made Christmas cookies the mixing was horrible. I had a grat Sunbeam mixmaster for 20 years until the motor just wore out. I had a Kitchenaide and hated it, so I was excited about my new one that I purchase. It is not metal like the one I had perviously. I will not use this so i am back to the Kitchenaide. The feature on my Sunbeam was the turning turntable. I wish you would make a better product with metal. Maybe then it will work better.

This is lightweight and plastic. Go for a die cast metal mixer. I returned it because of that. If it doesn’t matter to you, I’m sure it would work fine.

Frankly, I expected a little more out of this item. I thought the base spun on its own but it doesn't. You have to manually turn it sometimes.
Going to look into getting the Kitchenaide brand.

Wrong color/loud

I ordered the seafoam green mixer. When it arrived, it was lime green, not as pictured. It is also very loud. Sounds like an airplane is taking off. This mixer replaced my 7 year old Heritage mixer.

Good stand mixer

Had to replace my Sunbeam stand mixer that I got as a wedding present 53 years ago as the cord couldn't be replaced. The new mixer isn't all metal but plastic but it still works great. Bowls are nice and heavy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Disappointed

I bought this mixer at the beginning of 2017. It is just me and my husband living at home so I don't have alot of opportunity to use it. I have used it less than 6 times when I went to use it to mash potatoes on Christmas day. I already had sour cream, butter, and broth added to the potatoes. I started slow and turned the mixer up. Then it stopped. It is completely fried. This was no heavy duty mix job. What a waste of my money. Now I'm in the market for another mixer.
