This is my second Sunbeam Mixmaster in 45 years. The first one just finally gave up. I love this because it's easy to store in a cabinet. The top comes off for easier storing. Excellent power. The only downside....no wire whips included in set. However, my wire whips from my older model interchanged. They should include more varieties of beaters with the more expensive models. I use mine all of the time for mixing desserts and whipping cream and meringues.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I had a Sunbeam Heritage mixer for about 10 years and it gave out on me back in October so I went and bought a mixmaster and on Sunday it just died while I was making cake frosting. I am so frustrated because i had to run out and get a hand mixer to finish my frosting. Sunbeam just doesn't make them like they use to. I am definitely calling Sunbeam because this is ridiculous.

I couldn't get my beaters to lock in so they sent me a new mixer. They still are a problem to lock in. What I don't understand is how this is suppose turn when your mixing. it turns sometimes and stops. I feel like I could cause damage to the motor by forcing it. My other Sunbeam mixer the bowl locked in and turned, I could turn it on and walk away. Not happy with this model at all.

I purchased this mixer 30 days ago, and the mixer stand does no rotate....I skimmed through the reference material that came with the mixer and could not find any troubleshooting assistance. I must admit that it was difficult too contact a customer service provider from Sunbeam but after e-mail and holding for some time on the telephone, I was able too voice my concern to a customer service representative who was able too understand the issue with the machine and my frustration. Sunbeam replaced my product, with ease. They stand by their product warranty!

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Sunbeam direct at (800) 458-847. Our Sunbeam specialists will be more than happy to assist you again. Thanks!
I have owned 2 sunbeam mixmasters, buying my first one in the 1970's. It lasted for 20+ years. My second one has been working great but the beaters wore out and replacements could not be found. This new one is good but I don't like a couple of the new features. The beaters do not incorporate as well and do not clean the side of the bowl as well. Also, the latch system to lift the mixer out of bowl is a pain, you have to disengage the latch every time you want to lift the beaters. Some May like the deeper bowl but I do not. It does have good power. All in all, for the money it is good but if I could have found replacement beaters for my old one, I would still be using it. Nothing like the old Sunbeam quality, that is priceless!

I had called Sunbeam last week, before I ordered this mixer. I was told it was made in USA but when I got it, saw on the box, that it was, in fact, made in China.Very upset at being lied to. I did call customer service again today to voice my opinion and was told that parts were actually made in USA but assembled in China.

Disappointing construction....

I just received one of these mixers today, and when I opened the box to unpack it, I thought, "Wow! As heavy as this box is, the mixer must be sturdily made." Then I discovered that the entire body of the mixer stand is nothing but hollow plastic! The "heavy" part is the glass bowl, which is real-ly heavy. Although I prefer glass to aluminum because matter doesn't stick to glass quite as much as to the aluminum, I can already appreciate another purchaser's comments about how difficult it is going to be to hold onto the bowl and empty the contents. My "old" Sunbeam glass bowl finally cracked after about 40 years, and I thought it was heavy, but this new one is heavier still. I'll reserve comments about performance for the time being. At this point I am simply disappointed they chose to replace metal for plastic in the construction.

Not the Sunbeam quality I expected

I purchased the Heritage Series because I thought the added cost of the upgraded model would be worth it. Unfortunately, I'm disappointed in the "Heritage"...it's not the Sunbeam mixer quality I had 40 years ago. The slow speeds are too fast to fold in ingredients (flour dust flies all over!) and the faster speeds don't have that much variation. I should have returned it within the 30 day period, but missed that window - ugh!
