Very versatile!

TITLE WAS : Very versatile! First off, let me say I was a little hesitant to use this iron, just because I was unsure as to whether or not it would work due to the shined metal plate, but I was wrong! This iron did such an amazing job on everything I put it through! I am a mom of two girls, one is a preschool princess, and she has to have every item she wears to school perfect, and no matter the fabric, this iron not only did the job, but it was faster to get her clothes perfectly creased and smooth! My husband plays in a band, and he has shirts that have to be collared and wrinkle free when he plays on stage, quite a few of these shirts have collars that wouldn't go straight anymore due to how he wears his guitar strap over his shoulder. No matter how much I ironed them with my old iron, they would always curl up by the end of the gig. But this iron got them to go flat and stay flat! I was amazed! I also do tons of crafts with my teenage daughter, especially since she likes to make her own clothes, so I was worried as to how this would work on some of the silk fabric that she decided to use, but the iron worked so well, she was able to get her outfit done in a day because it was so fast! I love that they trigger is an actual trigger and not a thumb button too, since I have carpal tunnel syndrome, it didn't hurt at all to use this iron, like all the others I've used did! The plate on this iron is a lot bigger than other plates I've used too, and that was a big plus! The weight of the iron is heavier even, and helps a lot because you don't have to really push down hard to iron like so many others. The cleaning button was wonderful as well, as we ended up getting a little fabric glue on the plate on accident, but it was removed by using the cleaning button without any problem! My old iron never gets clean because of fabric glue being burned on it, it sometimes would even transfer black marks, no matter how much I scrubbed it to try and get the burned glue off, but for this iron, it was no problem! I am so impressed by the way this performed, I have more time with my kids and husband because ironing doesn't take forever now! This iron is a definite necessity for any house!

The Sunbeam turboSteam Iron is amazing! For someone who irons on a daily basis this iron is a perfect fit for you! I iron my husbands business clothes for work so he will look very nice. This multi-feature iron is sleek, smooth gliding, and easy to store makes my job more pleasant. The steam function has saved me money in dry cleaning services. The cord is a good length so I am able to catch up on my shows while ironing so I can multi-task what I enjoy and what needs to be done at the same time. Since using this iron I have recommended it to my friends and family. I do want to add that I was given this iron to review, so as far as price I didn't is for it but I would definitely buy this over any other iron I have had. I even tossed my old one which isn't that old.

Amazing Iron

This iron is one of the best irons I have ever used. This also is one of the most attractive irons I have ever seen. I like that it has safety features such as 3-way Motion Smart Auto-Off. It turns off the iron if it’s left in a position for too long to avoid accidents. If you leave it horizontally and walk away it will shut off in 30 seconds and a red light will blink and the iron will beep 6 times and if you leave it vertical for 15 mins while it’s on it will shut off. These features are great for people who tend to forget things. I have a family member who always leaves her flat hair iron on in the bathroom all the time and forgets about it. Also the iron has a cleaning feature so you can keep it in top condition. I found this iron to work very well. It heats up to the desired setting in about one min. Other irons I have used would take about 5 mins. Other irons would burn me when moving it around. It would spit hot water all over me! This iron however has an Anti-Drip feature and it works, no water would spill out of it so I felt safe when using it. The iron doesn't feel cheap. It feels sturdy and is well built. After using the iron on my clothes it did a great job.
The only small cons I feel are as follows. (These are more preferences than cons)
I would have liked to have seen a retractable cord for easy storing. I would have liked to have the two buttons switched, the steam button and the forward spray button. The button on the top of the handle is for the downward steam and the button on the bottom or trigger button is for the forward spray. I would have preferred them switched because I'm used to it on other irons and would instinctively press the wrong button. Other than that I really love this iron and it’s worth every penny. I would recommend this item to everyone needing a quality iron.

Great Buy!

This is a great buy, if you're looking for an 'all in one' iron and steamer. Although the steam function is not as effective as I had initially desired, the iron is sturdy and offers a variety of settings and features. As far as overall performance goes, you can't go wrong!
There are a few MINOR negatives for me. While it claims to be "no drip," it happened to me a couple of times. (We did follow the instructions, but a few drips still happened - although it was certainly nothing major or a deal breaker.) There were a few times that I tried to steam, but the steam function did not seem to reset to steam as quickly as it claims (in 1-3 seconds). And, while the reservoir is large and saves you the time of having to continuously refill it, it does also seem to go through that water very quickly. (The tank runs empty and needs more water after about four articles of clothing, only moderately using the steam function.)
There are certainly more positives than negatives, however. The iron/steamer absolutely does its job, taking out wrinkles, as described. The large base covers a lot of area in one sweep, and the pointy tip gets into precise areas very easily. The sturdy, long cord is great - it gives me the flexibility to move and reach around without worrying about if the cord will get in my way and prevent me from doing so. While I'm always careful about turning the iron off, I have a toddler and love the auto 'time off' feature - it gives me peace of mind that if I get pulled away, that safety feature is in place. And, while the color and style have absolutely nothing to do with the performance of the iron, it's very pleasing and fits with our personal style - we all love how it looks.
We love Sunbeam products in our home, and this is definitely a product we will use often and recommend!

I love the turbo steam iron. It is a great product easy to operate. I love how it gets out the wrinkles in clothes. I really like the automatic shut off when not in use. Great product.

Nice colors, feels sturdy

Overall, I really liked the Turbo Steam Iron. I loved the colors (black and blue with silver) and the iron feels nice and sturdy. I also liked it because it heats up quickly and has the indicator light to tell me when it's ready to use. However, there were a couple things I didn't like about it. No matter what position I held it in, I could not get the vertical shot of steam feature to work. Also, the regular shot of steam function during normal ironing didn't seem to work either. (Yes, I did have water in the reservoir!) I'm not sure if maybe this was an isolated problem with only my iron, or if it's an ongoing problem with this model. Either way, the shot of steam feature didn't make or break my opinion of the iron. I still liked it.

Awesome iron

This iron worked great. it ironed all the wrinkles out of my most wrinkled clothes. It heated up and stayed an even temperature throughout all of my daily ironing. The steam feature worked great for some of my more delicate clothing. The wrinkles out within minutes of steaming.
