Yummy treats await

The fondue pot is very easy to use and comes with the needed utensils to make and create yummy treats. The product offers a nice upscale look. There is a recipe book offered to help introduce a new user to foods that can be made at home. I liked the suggestions to know how to utilize the unit to its fullest. It's durable and convenient to use. My favorite treat to make was the melted chocolate so that I could make dipped fruit such as apples and strawberries covered in chocolate. This in itself is a value because I don't have to buy it anymore from specialty stores.

Overall the Oster 3-qt fondue pot is easy to use, easy to clean, a great conversation piece and at the purchase price is well worth it! The first time I used the 3-qt fondue pot, I did not read the full instructions before hand. The fondue pot is easy to set up; but, I had a hard time trying to plug it in because there are two pieces to the plug: a temperature control probe and the temperature probe socket that connect to the fondue pot. I did not see the middle piece at first, thus tried connecting the other two pieces as they looked like they should fit. After some fiddling around, I referred back to the instructions and realized that I was missing the temperature control probe and found it in the box.
Once I had the fondue pot plugged in, it was easy to use. The temperature gauge is easy to decipher, just set the temperature and viola! There is an indicator light that lets you know when the desired temperature is reached, which is handy. The unit does not take long at all to heat up. The only suggestion I wish the fondue pot would have would be a digital temperature read out. The manual plug reminds me of my outdated appliances.
I made two recipes from the booklet that is included with the fondue pot, the Nippy Franks and the Horseradish sauce. I also created my own cheese dip with pretzels. All the recipes turned out delicious, the fondue kept them warm, and the fondue pot was a fun conversation piece when I had several people over.
When I was done using the fondue pot, it is easy to take apart and clean. I was surprised that the food residue was easy to wipe away, no harsh scrubbing! It is also easy to store as it fits into a small space. I would definitely recommend this fondue pot as a different way to spice up dinner, make a fun dessert or keep dips warm for parties.

Awesome easy sweet treats

I used the Oster Fondue pot to make chocolate fondue. Set up was easy. The cord is short, but I wasn't too bothered by that. The 3 quart capacity was sufficient and I love the slots that hold the skewers in place. The color coded skewers kept us from getting our skewers mixed up. I was super impressed by how quickly the chocolate melted. The only drawback for me was the fruit would not stay on the skewers once we dipped them into the chocolate. We spent a great deal of time fishing the fruit out of the chocolate. The no stick interior made clean up really easy so that was a plus. Overall, we loved using the fondue pot and had fun.

Nice Fondue Pot Gets the Job Done

This fondue pot is a nice addition for our family. It is not something that we will use everyday but it is nice and fun to have: it is especially nice to use when we have company over. It is not anything fancy but it is your basic fondue pot it's built well and it gets the job done.

Pretty neat fondue pot

This fondue pot seems to be pretty neat. I was able to fry various meats in it and it was very easy to use. I also did chocolate in it and it melts quick and the fruit tasted great! This would be great for dinner parties. It holds a good bit and heats up to temp very quickly. My only complaint i have is that the sticks slide into the pot even when put in the holders. It this could be fixed, then it would have had 5 stars. I received this as a sample for testing and reviewing the product.

Great for camping!

The fondue pot is a nice addition to my appliances, it's easy to clean and simple to use. The only issue I had was the connection to the unit because it is magnetic but as long as the cord isn't nudged while cooking it will stay in place. I am looking forward to cooking eggs, chili, chicken and pancakes while camping because all that is needed is an electrical outlet!

Not Your Mother's Fondue Pot!

I hadn't used a fondue pot many years. This fondue pot was more modern that what I had used in the past. My favorite feature was the fork holders. They kept the forks in place so they didn't slip around. We had so much fun making both sweet and savory fondue. The temperature settings made this very simple. Clean up was very easy as well.
