I got a pair of these mostly for cold cuts. I purchased the additional vacuum sealer, and they kept the cold cuts fresh, and free of that slime that can develop after a few days.

I enjoyed the Food Saver container which came with my original purchase. I ordered more off the website that looked like the one I had. When I received them, the tops are just right, the base, not so hot. Too cheaply made, they bow like for a violin when one applies vacume. You can do better.

Containers lose their vacuum

The hard plastic deli containers seem to seal initially although some you have to really work at it to go through the process. When you go to unlock the vacuum you learn it has already lost its seal.
It's not a good engineering construct with a flimsy little rubber stretchy plug that moves around. There is a reason they went to a new design.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The product size is good and like it since it's stackable. The con of this product is hard to vacuum due to the design I guess.
