Kind of bothersom

Difficult to get seal to take. Once open have to try to reseal a couple of times before it takes. Bags are much better. Super easy to use.

Works good if used correctly

These containers stack together nicely and work good as long as you seal them correctly, which isn't difficult. I believe some negative reviews are because of incorrect sealing procexure..

Quick and easy to use for almost any age

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The handheld vacuum size and weight makes vacuum sealing of the containers very easy for anyone use. Upon the first use of my food saver containers I put fresh cut veggies in and it stayed just as fresh as the day I put them in a week prior. An excellent purchase for my daily business needs.

i got a 2 pack. One was easy to seal and the other was VERY difficult. Not even 24 hours later, the one that was difficult to seal, had completely lost it's seal. The other held out for maybe 3 days.
Also, if and when you do get a seal, the top of the container also sucks in and you lose what little storage space there was to begin with.
BTW - i had placed 2 plain pieces of bread in the containers for testing. No liquids, nothing hot.
There is a serious design flaw in this product that needs to be addressed.

VERY SATISFIED, GOOD QUALITY CONTAINER

No cracks. Wash by hand. I can tell if the seal/vacuum is good with the squeal at the end of the process. If it's a loud/sharp squeal at the end of the process, it's a good vacuum, and a deep dimple in the gray rubber gasket. If it's a dull/muffled squeal and partial dimple in the gray gasket, do it again. I haven't been wrong yet. I make sure the gaskets (top cover and bottom rim) ARE FREE OF ANY MATERIAL from previous use. Also you should expect a snap (muffled snap) when applying top cover. If no snap, change the top cover around. Holding the seals/vacuum extremely well after several weeks. Also always checking the dimples on top of the container. Stacks nicely. Very satisfied.

Love and Hate These

I bought these about 2 years ago, I had some sealing issues and as a courtesy had replacements sent. Out of 8 containers 2 or 3 work and the rest don't. I love the ones that work but hate that so many of my containers are useless.

We're so sorry to hear that you've been having problems sealing the containers! Some quick tips would be to make sure the contents are at room temperature before sealing so that steam does not loosen the vacuum. Also make sure the lid is on properly before trying to seal to assure that air does not have a place to escape. We'd love to turn this relationship into one of Love-Love instead of Love-Hate! Just give us a call at 877-777-8042 for further assistance. We're available 9:00 am to 8:00 pm Monday through Friday and 9:00 am to 6:00 pm on Saturdays. Thank you very much, have a nice day!

Product Failure

I'm not sure how anyone could fit a pound of lunch meat in one of these containers. Not only are they very, very shallow, but the bottom of the container is not flat but has a rise in it taking up room. You have to leave an air pocket on top of the contents before putting on the lid. If you don't, you will not get a vacuum seal because after the air is drawn out, the lid caves in a bit filling up that air pocket. Also preventing getting a seal could be a too-full container or a wrapper blocking the vacuum port on the inside. Because of the ridges on the inside of the lid, the cheese I was trying to store had cuts on it cutting the cheese into small pieces. Shoulda listened to the husb. As soon as he saw them, he said, "that's not going to work...too shallow." Since I don't use my marinator container that often, I have begun using that to hold all my lunch meat and sandwich cheeses. Works great!
