These are so easy to use...keeps things fresh! I like that they are stackable and so much more environmentally friendly than the seal bags for refrigerated items.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Don't waste your $$$

Seals don't work

I got 4 of these, and the seals do not work. I threw them out. I love how they are flat, though, so if you R&D dept can make your other food containers flat for stacking, that would be great!

The science is right, don't bother

I live in a science and geek world. Regarding lunch meats, the amount of vacuum the sealer creates in these containers, especially with the hand held unit, is about as much as sticking a plastic straw into a zipper closed plastic bag and sucking out the air, perhaps even less, only it is more sanitary. There is obviously more if the port of the machine is used.
Even through there is a pop when the sealer has pulled out all the air it can and there's a dimple in the rubber gasket, don't be fooled. Leaving lunch meats and cheeses in the original packing, not arranged in pretty rolls unless gloves are used to do it, in a zipped, and vacuumed bag for easy access will keep things fresher. And for longer term storage, use the regular vacuum sealed bags.
These look nice, but the science is in, just don't bother for storage for more than a day. I can see where it could be helpful to use these containers as transport for nicely rolled meats to a buffet at work or at the pot luck. They are certainly useful for other things, like non-perishables or for buttons and non-food items a toddler doesn't need to get into.

Deli Containers vs other small containers

I purchased the Deli, Leftover/Lunch, and Sandwich/Snack containers. I love the container idea because vacuum sealing with with bags alone sometimes sucks the moisture of of certain items or flattens items.
The Deli container lids pull inward when vacuuming, where the Sandwich/Snack and Leftover/Lunch hold their shape. This isn't a concern for me overall, However, I have to make MULTIPLE attempts to vacuum when using the Deli containers. My Foodsaver will try and even start succeeding when vacuum sealing then all of the sudden the suctioning stops. I try to make sure there isn't too much inside the Deli container when suctioning (they are already quite small) since the lid pulls inward I figured the contents was impending the suction area, this doesn't seem to help. I am very happy with my Leftover/Lunch and Sandwich/Snack however I would NOT recommend the Deli containers. They cause way too much frustration!!

Doesn't seal

I couldn't figure this thing out. The top doesn't snap on & it doesn't seal! The lid just flops around & falls off. I've tried many times to just snap it shut since it won't seal, but it won't even do that. I've examined it to see how it works. Bottom line, it doesn't work at all.

Only seals some times

Bought for lunch meat and bacon. Bought the hand held seal, which you have to charge every other time you have used it on a couple of things. Seals (Maybe) and then when you go to get it out of the fridge it isn't sealed???
