We have used the other major brand electric toothbrush for years and find that the Sonicare does a better job. The only complaint is that the sanitizing chamber is not tall enough. There is not enough clearance on the top to avoid the brush hitting the top edge when placing the brush on the holder.

COULD STILL BE A LITTLE MORE DURABLE AND QUITE, BUT ID NEVER SWITCH BACK TO REGULAR BRUSHS EVER.
Pros: easy to clean teeth

I wish the on button either higher or lower--it is placed where one holds the toothbrush while brushing causing it to go off at times while brushing.

You know how your mouth feels right after a dental cleaning with your hygienist, how almost brand new it feels once you have had that professional cleaning and you've had the polishing done? Well, the next best thing to that feeling is how you will feel using the Philips Sonicare toothbrush!
The sonic power the toothbrush uses is phenomenal and does a powerful number against tartar buildup. And there is a "gum care" setting that helps make sure you get a healthy turn for your crucially important gums.
But don't be lulled into thinking this toothbrush is a replacement for floss. It is still a toothbrush, albeit the best one I've ever used, and you still need to floss to get under the gum to do a proper cleaning.
The UV brush head sanitizer is great as well, helping make your toothbrush as fresh as your mouth!
Really, with so many doctors now saying how good oral hygiene prevents things like heart disease and GI issues, this is your next "must have" purchase. And it does such a fantastic job, you might find yourself brushing even more!

A good company, a good product

I've had the Sonicare toothbrush for 2 years, but a few weeks ago it stopped working properly. I was just beyond the warranty period (yb less than a month) but was given the benefit of the doubt and a new brush was sent to me. It works just as it should and once again I am very pleased to have a Sonicare.

I love my toothbrush, it really gets my teeth and gums clean.
This is my second sonicare toothbrush.
When I go in for my dental cleaning, the denist has commented on how the plaque on my teeth is less and that my gums are healther.
