I don't like that you have to pick the feature every time you use the brush. I wish it would stay in the whitting mode.
I don't like where the on/off button is located. When I turn the brush around from my bottom teeth to my top teeth, I accidentally turn off the brush. At least it remembers how much time I used up.
My Sonicare provides excellent cleaning with ease of use.

It is so easy to travel with my sonicate. It holds it's charge for 2 weeks so I don't have to take my charger with me. I just separate the brush head from the handle and I'm ready to go.
Pros: easy to travel with

The FlexCare+ does a great job of cleaning teeth, but we have had to have two handles replaced! I bought two of these, one for my husband and one for myself. After about a year the LEDs in my handle went out, function by function, and then the functions began to fail until there was only one speed. Sonicare's customer service was excellent and they replaced my handle, but the replacement stopped working in about six months, it made a noise but stopped vibrating. Again customer service was willing to replace the handle. Now my husband's handle is starting to loose its LEDs and I'm wondering how long it will be before his stops as well.
We had been using "the other electric toothbrush brand" for quite a few years and never had one fail, although we did upgrade to a newer model at some time. I would guess that each of those lasted at least five years and cost considerably less. We made the switch at our dentist's recomendation, and I understand why he supports the excellent cleaning, but not the lack of durability.
I had never used an electric toothbrush since I was a child and can't believe how wonderful this product is. My teeth look the best that they have looked in years.
Pros: it does the work for you

Have used Sonicare for three years now and my dentist said that my teeth and gum are doing great. I had some receding gums from too aggressive brushing. The Sonicare as fixed that problem. My only negative comment is that my first Sonicare broke within a year of purchasing it. The company sent me a refurbished for free but it never worked as well as the new one. So, I had to buy a new one the last time I went to see my dentist.
Very nice toothbrush overall. The UV device for cleaning the heads is a great feature to have also!

We have purchased 3 Philips Sonicare toothbrushes for ourselves and 2 Sonicare toothbrush for our girls. The hygenist has commented many times about the small amount of plaque buildup when we go for our cleanings. We have not had a cavity in many years. We feel our teeth are cleaner because of the Sonicare system.

My teeth get so much cleaner with a Sonicare than with a manual toothbrush.
Pros: 5 different settings with a flexcare+, can sanitize the brushes after use
