The design does not allow a build-up of 'crud' to develop around the base. The Base holder is sleek with few crevices so it cleans up very easy. Overall, the unit was well designed compared to older models that had more crevices. The traveling case and the length of the charge makes it great for traveling.

Loving the toothbrush so far but one thing has me a bit concerned. I went to the dentist and he said that the enamel from my tooth in certain areas was beginning to wear off by possibly hard brushing. I told him I just started with a new toothbrush and he recommended me to use sensitive brush heads and sensitive toothpaste. Hopefully it is my teeth and not the toothbrush!!
Makes them super clean and I love the feeling after the brush. The UV sanitizer is pretty cool too.
Pros: looks, super clean feeling after brush, uv sanitizer
Cons: possibly too harsh on teeth on certain modes

At first I was concerned about the price of the Sonicare, (a little high) but at the recommendation of my hygienist, I made the investment. I'm glad I did. After just one week of using the Sonicare I could feel and see a difference in the cleanliness of my teeth. Of course, the real test will be at my six month cleaning and check-up at the dentist!
The timer is a real plus.
My only complaint, which is minimal, is that it took a few days to not turn the Sonicare off in the middle of brushing, because of the way I was holding it. My thumb would touch the on/off button. But after adjusting my grip from the way I held my old brush, all was fine.

Amazing toothbrush that has made a wonderful difference

Over 25 years ago my dentist recommended that I purchase a Sonic Care toothbrush OR I would be looking at having gum surgery. Just 6 months later my dentist was amazed at the difference in my gums. Dillegence paid off! I have continued this use and now am on #4 Sonicare! It is used 2-3 times daily. My dentist always complements me on my oral care. I have all of my teeth, about 3 small cavities and no root canals. I owe this to the use of my Sonicare

I've used it for about a month now and I love it. Can't believe it took me so long to buy this toothbrush. I usually have a problem of brushing my teeth too hard but with this brush the pressure it all handled by Sonicare.
