Overall I strongly feel that this product cleans your teayh so well that traditional tooth brushes in my opinion are obsolete.

My first Philips was/is an Elete Pro which I purchsed from my dentist and I am guessing here about 8 years or so ago.I used it exclusively meaning I rarely used the conventional tooth brush. When I did use the "ol'e toothbrush" I never had a clean feeling as I did with the Philips. Well, my first Philips finally would not hold a charge well so I immediately went to my dentist and bought my new Philips. Based on this I have never been without my Philips unit. I think the longevity of my Philips is because I keep it clean at all times. I didn't know at the time you had a sanitizer unit otherwise I would have purchased it too. My unit is the basic charger with 2 posts to store the brushes. I find the new unit is an improvement in that the screw on brush required more cleaning . I have applied a very thin coat of vasoline to the brush spost making is easier to install the brush. I reommend this.The brush is great improved

Great Features and ease of use

I love this Phillips Sonicare FlexCare+ Rechargeable toothbrush HX6972/10 . It is light weight and its slim design is easier to maneuver while brushing your teeth. The design is easy to keep clean and I love the UV sanitizer feature for the brush heads. The 5 modes are so nice to use. I get a thorough cleaning with the clean mode and yet if I'm in a hurry I can use the refresh mode. The Quadpacer is wonderful because it reminds you to clean each of the four sections of your mouth. The massage feels so good ! I have been a Phillips Sonicare user for years (had older models) and I will stick with the Phillips SoniCare Tooth brush line. My Dentist also recommends this model , its more Sanitary !
Pros: the sanitizer keeps brush heads cleaner, design is better and cleaner, travel charger and case included

I have had the sonicaire brush for a while and love it. I saw the difference in my teeth after using it for a few weeks. WHITER teeth is always better...I will continue to buy the sonicaire toothbrush in the future.
