Tooth brush doesn't last as long as advertised
on June 20, 2012

I like my Phillips tooth brush. I have only one exception. The bristle alert turns clear after less than one month of use. It is advertised to last three months. I question whether or not using the disinfection feature daily has caused the bristles to deteriorate quickly. I am no longer using the disinfection feature, hoping the brush bristles will hast three months. Please advise if I am right or wrong in my diagnosis of the problem.

A big difference
on May 6, 2011

Almost immediately, I noticed a big difference in how my teeth and gums felt after "brusing" my teeth. I still floss after using the Sonicare, but there is less "residual" (sorry for that visual!) to catch with the floss.
I bought the Sonicare on the recommendation of my hygienist to help with gum recession. One month later, I cannot tell if there is improvement. I suppose I'll have to wait another 5 months for my next visit to the dentist. But, I suspect I will be happy. I only wish I had bought one years ago.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Head of brush pops off!
on October 29, 2011

I do not like this new style. This is my 3rd Sonicare toothbrush. The first two had brush heads that screwed onto the motorized handle. This one just pushes onto the handle. The vibration of the head during brushing makes the brush head pop off the handle! Very annoying!. Please go back to the original design where the brush head screws onto the handle. It is much more reliable.
Cons: head of brush pops off during use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This prodoct worked like a charm for first 9 months and a week ago, the charging lights started to flicker. I attempted it to charge over 2 days (used manual brush) and it eventually died. It does not work anymore.
Pros: good cleaning
Cons: not durable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
