I really like this toothbrush

I've had this toothbrush for several years and I like it very much. I've had other electric toothbrushes and this one is the best. The only difficulty I have with it is that it's easy to push the buttons and change the brushing mode. The on/off button isn't a problem, it's the one under it. I can always tell when I've touched it because the sound changes. It's not insurmountable - you learn to hold the brush differently. I prefer electric brushes because they're easier to use with my arthritis and they do a better job of cleaning; especially the back molars. SUGGESTION: If this button was at the bottom of the handle, it would resolve the problem.
Pros: does a great job of cleaning my teeth
Cons: can accidentally change the cleaning mode
I would recommend this to a friend!

This toothbrush quit functioning after less than six months of use. The lights come on, a motor makes noise, but the brush does not move. This was a very expensive waste of money.
Pros: none
Cons: does not work!

Brush broken within 4 month
on November 9, 2011

The steel detail connecting brush itself and magnet vibrating part broken in 4 month. Fragile material as a result of thermal treatment, shape and a hole in the middle of the detail create unwanted tensions and failing as a result. Bad engineering and wrong materials used.
Cons: bad engineering

Failed just after one year

I had this for just over a year when the rubber piece that the brushhead connects with just broke away. Without that the toothbrush does not work properly. Also you can change the brush settings but they no longer illuminate. Overall an expensive toothbrush and really if its this prone to failure it should have a longer warranty. I am back to using my old 'other make' electric toothbrush but hey at least it works.

Nice at first but poorly built

We used this for the first six months which was great but then the head screw came loose and would not brush. I pulled off the shell and tightened the screw to fix he problem however it would continue to come loose every few months. Now after a year and a half the battery has completely lost it's ability to hold a charge. The battery is soldered in and not easily replaced. For the price of this I would have hoped to get a lot more longevity and expect no need for dumb screw tightening repairs.
This design was made to fall apart easily. The average person would probably have to just replace the whole unit since getting the case off tends to permanently tear the soft plastic bottom.
I wanted to see if there was a new and better model/design but since this has not changed I will not be putting any more money into a sonicare.
Purchased the Flexcare after old Sonicare (which we had for over 5 years) stopped working. Very disappointed before it was 1 year old it stopped working and was replaced under waranty. Ok just got a lemon! Wrong with in 10 months the second one stopped working. Just not made with the same quality. We replaced it with an Oral B so far so good.
Pros: liked the sanitizer
Cons: didn't last very long, expensive for the qiality
