Purchased model number KSF26C4XYY in early Feb 2014. Ice maker and water stopped working within 2 months. It was a stopped up filter. The factory certified care technician suggested removing the filter, a $45 item with a suggested replacement of 6 months. The filter was removed and ice and water service problems were resolved. July 2014 the ice maker again is not working. Water works, no ice is jammed in the ice maker (a common problem we have already encountered) now waiting for the technician.
Too many problems for a 6 month old $2000 appliance.

I'M DISAPPOINTED TO LEARN (T00 LATE) THAT THE ICE CUBE BIN IS SO SMALL, THEREBY LIMITING THE AMOUNT OF CUBES THAT CAN BE SAVED FOR LATER USE.. ALSO, THAT THE BIN MUST BE REMOVED IN ORDER TO TURN THE ICE CUBE MAKER ON/OFF..THIS IS RIDICULOUS!

Fails to match performance of 12+ year old refrigerator it's

Kitchen Aid has delivered a highly touted product that in my opinion is an insult to the consuming public. The next day following installation, the ice maker failed to produce ice. And during the short time it was working, anemic pieces of ice dropping onto the plastic compartment sounded like our kitchen was under attack.
There is condensation on the freezer door exterior and refrigeration machinery is replete with obnoxious loudness. Electronic ice and water dispensing control displays on the freezer door are unnecessarily complex. Whenever ice is delivered (assuming the maker is still functional) most ends up on the floor.
Interior shelving has zero placement options to adjust space between shelves. Door bins are very narrow with very limited capacity. No provisions for egg storage.
I can appreciate why my initial review thoughts were rejected because of their derogatory nature, but it is extremely difficult to find nice things to say about an inferior product that should not be on the market.
Pros: None
Cons: Noisy, ice maker does not work, Poor reliability, no provision for holding eggs, exterior condensation

Just purchased this one month ago, but so far it is an a-one product. I really like the brightness of the lighting when you open the doors and the fact that they will shut off automatically.

We bought this model in Dec. 2013 and it's perfect for us. The features are great, especially the ice maker. The shelves are very nice with lots of space in both the refrigerator and freezer for our needs. It's perfect for us. We've already seen a decrease in our energy bill.

Lots of room in this refrigerator. the only thing i don't like is that when i push on the door to close it, it doesn't swing shut all the way, maybe the doors are to full with food and heavy but it is annoying. Other than that it is great. Oh yes the ice maker works just fine but does not hold a lot of ice which could be a draw back since it doesn't reproduce the ice fast enough if it is near empty
Pros: lots of room large drawers
Cons: doesn't make enough ice
