Nice refrigerator but is noisy when running and especially when producing ice cubes ...could use more insulation to keep it a little quieter when doing its normal things! Also...door shelves should be interchangeable to make it easier to reconfigure.

I've had a KA side x side w/ water and ice thru the door for the past 22 years. The only problem with the old fridg was the icemaker was really noisy. Friends w/ newer fridgs have much quieter icemakers so I was hoping for such with the new KA. However, it is very noisy and it spews ice chips everywhere! Also, there are fewer bins which are made more cheaply and the shelves are not adjustable on the new one. All in all fewer storage options. Additionally, the water dispenser on the old KA provided plenty of cold water. On the new one you cannot even get one whole glass of chilled water, just tap temperature which I can get at the sink! KA rep says there is less tubing for H2O running thru fridg therefore less cold water. I like that some shelves pull out, but overall not up to what I generally expect from KA.
Pros: easy to use
Cons: h2o dispenser not cold, noisy messy icemaker, shelves not adjustable
