Fridge looks nice and seems roomy. However, the freezer is pretty small - or at least not the greatest layout. Food stays cold - that's a positive! Ice maker stopped making ice and it leaked onto my cabinet causing damage.

We like to configuration and storage options on this side-by-side. However, if we had it to do over again we would have upgraded to a different model. This unit is noisy when the water is activated for the icemaker, and when the ice is finished it falls in a fashion that will wake the neighbors. The unit is stylish and the front panel provides all the necessary features to make it a functional unit.

See Sheener Fort Lauderdale previous. It been 6 months. Still have some condensation on freezer door, wipe it 2-3 times a day.
Ice maker working until yesterday. Did I say 6 months (applicance company only warrants repairs for 3 months. OOPs.)
So no I am not repairing this refrigerator again. It is going out to trash and I am hunting replacements.

The only feature we DO NOT like on this refrigerator is the fact that when you are using the ice/water dispenser and try to open the fridge door, it stops giving you the ice/water until you close the opposite door. We have never had a refrigerator that does this.
Pros: easy to use
Cons: stops dispensing ice/water when other door is open

We bought this refrigerator after having a much more expensive Kenmore and couldn't be happier. It's fit and finish is near perfect, the ice maker operates nearly perfect, and the touch pad is a nice feature as well.

Initially, the control panel (for lack of better name) on the door didn't work: lights showed that door was open when it wasn't and vice versa. We had a repair guy out the first day or two we had it. Today I'll be calling about an ice maker that doesn't work. Grrrr.... We bought this Kitchenaid after a decent run with another Kitchenaid refrigerator (nine years), and this has been frustrating and disappointing.

I bought this refrigerator the first part of June 2014. In August I went to Seattle for two weeks and when I RETURNED I OPENED THE FRIDGE DOOR AND WAS MET WITH A HORRIBLE SMELL. called SERVICE, APPARENTLY THE DAY BEFORE I RETURNED THE ELECTRIC ON THE STREET WAS OFF DUE TO SOME REPAIRS. I DIDN'T KNOW THAT I HAD TO TURN THE FRIDGE BACK ON WHEN THE ELECTRIC WENT OFF. I LOST A REFRIGERATOR AND FREEZER FULL OF FOOD. whose BRIGHT IDEA WAS THIS TO NEED TO TURN THE FRIDGE BACK ON. ESPECIALLY WHEN ONE IS OUT OF TOWN. IF I KNEW THIS WHEN I BOIUGHT THE FRIDGE I DEFINETLY WOULD HAVE SELECTED ONE THAT WORKS THE OLD FASHION WAY AND GOES BACK ON WHEN THE ELECTRIC GOMES BACK ON.
