I'll never buy GE products again

I bought a new home in April 2015 and chose all GE Profile Stainless Steel appliances from the builders catalog (Range, Dishwasher, Microwave, Refrigerator, Washer and Dryer). Big mistake. Within 12 months I've had two repairs for the stove, one repair for the dishwasher, one repair for the microwave and one pending repair for the washer. Losing count but I think I've had 7 service call... and counting. Four of the calls were for the microwave alone. Even the service guy for the microwave said "the build quality is so terrible these days that I don't know why don't just replace them". I've just purchased a 2 year warranty extension for everything. After that, they'll all be replaced with another brand as each one fail. On the other hand, the 15 year old washer/dryer left in my previous home are still working well and never failed once.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great features but does not last

Purchased this microwave in 2014 and it just quit after 3 years. It appears the power supply is defective. We like the features when it works but I expect to have more than 3 years out of an appliance.

Died after 4 years

Longevity is a huge factor in assessing an appliance. Was fantastic for the 4 years we had it then keypad shorted, apparently a common problem with GE. Tried to replace main board to no avail. Very dissapointed

Doesn't Work

Have had my microwave for just over 3 years and today it just died no lights or anything unplugged it for half day thinking that would help nope and none of the fuses are flipped. This is the second GE appliance that I have had major issues with. Time to get a new one and it so won't be a GE one at all! Will not ever buy anything GE again.

We bought this microwave along with dishwasher and refrigerator all GE Profile when we bought our house in 2014, we have already had to replace dishwasher with a different brand as it stopped working after 6 years now the microwave is toast. Handle peeled off after 4 years now the door latch is broken and want close and heating has been poor for awhile . Oh did I mention the refrigerator has had a tech out twice and now there is an issue where the fridge freezes then thaws and leaks on my hardwood floors. Very disappointing

Look and usability

I brought this two days ago. Outside look is good, but inside it is dark color. Earlier one I have is a white color one. I like white internal to view the food and also it is brighter. Usability it is very good. The 4 vent fan speed is really good since I have an out side vent and this is helping to blow the air outside easily.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Features - Easy Installation

We owned a GE profile for 12 years and just purchased a new one. It was easy to install. Love that the vents are now on the top and hidden. Love the easy clean interior. Easy to use.
