Poor Power for a Big Size

My husband and I have both commented on the cold spots-- despite the rotating plate, things cook unevenly. We also have noticed that we have to cook things longer than we did on microwaves in other homes. This is VERY disappointing for (1) a microwave that was not cheap and (2) such a large sized microwave.It is interesting that your screen says do not post personal info such as email address and yet I can't submit this review without an email.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

cant read the dial to select what i want to do, should have a light .have to take a flash light to read it poor design how much more would have it cost you to install a light

Magnetron Failure Within 90 Days.

I bought this unit to replace the "replacement" for my original GE Microwave which was installed in 2002 when my house was built. The first replacement was the exact same model as I had had since 2002. This second replacement is a little different model since the original unit is no longer made.The original one lasted over 10 years; the replacement about 3 years; this one lasted ONLY 90 Days before the Magnetron went bad. Fortunately GE repaired it at no cfost immediately. It does not have as many features; the appearance quality of this replacement is not as good as the original; it has less features; and it ONLY is a 1000 watt unit - my original was 1100 watts. I used to be able to heat a cup of coffee in 60 seconds. This one takes 90 seconds or 50% longer. The warranty covered the repair but the built and parts quality of this unit is suspect. Definitely not as good as the first two units.
