Not my old GE profile

This model has a hard time popping popcorn properly. I havent looked yet but it seems like it has less power than the older model.

One touch cook time

Looks great in the kitchen. Multi speed fan. Large turn table inside. The interior is blue/black speckled. The interior cleans easily. Bright light inside but it is absorbed by the dark interior. The light doesn't shine brightly to illuminate like a white interior would. The light underneath is not very bright on the high setting and shines mostly in the middle of the range top. Very disappointed it isn't brighter or even a halogen-for being a "GE PROFILE"., a step up.
Overall this is a good mircowave-but a little pricey. We bought this unit because it matched all the other applicances.

Poor quality control

This microwave was installed on 3/15/16, and we used it for the first time on the 17th to heat vegetables and on the 18th to heat corn. The microwave ran for about 30 seconds and went black. The company that we bought it from could not be reached until Monday at which time they contacted GE service and someone showed up that afternoon and repaired it. It turns out that a wire behind the control panel got caught in the fan and shut the unit down. The wire was not wire tied, leaving a lot of extra wire to get caught in the fan.
In addition to that I discovered that the unit was manufactured January of 2015, which made it 1 year and 3 months old when it was installed in my home. I don't understand why when I thought I was buying a 2016 Microwave, I got a 2015 microwave.
I have all GE appliances in my kitchen and I never had a problem like this.
