Would never purchase again

Over the stove microwave with external exhaust. Cheap plastic parts that melt from the heat coming off of the stove, keypad and handle melted. Exhaust fan is a noisemaker, not an exhaust fan, whole house fills with smoke when using, blows grease out the top of unit onto cabinet faces. This came with a new home that I built, homebuilder only puts in GE appliances. How can you have plastic parts above a high BTU 5 Burner Stove?

3.5 year lifespan

I got this 3.5 years ago & it is dead. I had some minor panel display dimming a year or two ago, but nothing that lasted. Now the entire control panel is dead & it does not operate. The 4 year extended warranty was about the cost to repair it, so not worth the extra expense. The GE repair cost is so high, that I am just going to replace it entirely. Also, common household window/multi-surface cleaners will remove the button labeling on the 3 buttons near the bottom right.

Already stopped working

When we finally moved onto our Forever home 4 yrs ago I knew I wanted the Profile series . But, I have been so disappointed , first our oven's temperature does not stay constant .Was fixed once and doing it again. Now our microwave died :( and I can't afford to get another . Never would I have thought they would not last at least 10+ years

Lasted only 4 years

Built my house and moved in in November of 2015. The glass dish does not sit well in the microwave and it’s constantly becoming misaligned. Twice since we moved in the handle on the door of the Microwave has broken off. In order for the vent to work properly you have to keep the microwave door open. Now the microwave door won’t stay closed. If you hold it closed to try to use it let’s you set a time, hit start and it will start counting down but the microwave won’t actually turn on. Going to have to replace it a non GE model this time. I’m not spending that kind of money if it’s only going to last 4 years.

Terrible turntable

This turntable is constantly misaligned and has had the motor replaced twice. Mostly worthless.

Door handle broke.

Finish on the door handle peeled and wrinkled after a few years of use.
Now handle broke off.
The handle is ridiculously expensive and almost pays to buy a whole new microwave. Congratulations GE for making it harder for the consumer.
