Very good, but some odd lacks

This is an excellent Blu-Ray disc player. I've no complaints about the picture, playback, or sound quality. Set up was very easy: after downloading a few updates, I was off and running in a few minutes. I've no need for the included apps or WiFi, since my Roku does all that already. My only complaints, both minor, are, first, that it only plays one disc at a time, which is odd since it replaced an older Sony multi-disc CD/DVD player. Second, when playing music discs (CDs), it does not read the track information -- name of disc, titles of tracks, &c. Instead, I get just the number and (IIRC) the time of the track. The CD is simply "disc." I find that a strange lack, enough to cost the player one star. Still, for it's price and the quality of playback, it's well-worth the money.

It's about 1/3 the size of the last one I had, with more options.

Player is compact and plays all media well. I have not been able to connect to my wifi router and after numerous attempts finally gave up.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It opens really fast and up converts DVDs beautifully. It receives Amazon Prime videos well but it is slow and they are fuzzy when they begin. The wifi wouldn't connect consistently so I have to use Ethernet. My router is an Airport Express, so I thought it might be too weak so I planned for that, and it seems to be it more than the player. My mother has a Roku and Netflix so I can't compare the same service, but they both are slow to load so it may be normal. The thing I dislike about it is that the next day when I go to get the DVD out of the machine it turns on my TV and switches the input to the player and I have to switch it back and turn it off. It is Bravia sync, so it also changes the input when I put the DVD in the machine, which is good. Overall I have few complaints and I don't miss the wait for the drawer to open at all.

Hello Coconut! We would like to recommend to try the steps available through the following link to improve the network connectivity, keep in mind also that the internet speed takes great part when it comes to the video quality of this unit it requires to have no less than 2.5 Mbps for Standard content and 10 Mbps for HD content:
