I really like this sony device and the only reason I gave it 4 stars is I haven't been able play movies on amazon instatnt video. I've contacted sony about this and a week later I haven't received a response. otherwise it works great and fast.

After trouble with my older, other brand I went with this Sony and have been very pleased. In order to make it work with an older TV with the three (red, yellow, white) cables I had to buy a converter and rig the converter with usb charging. But, once that was done and setup completed to my Wi-Fi, we were on the road with Netflix and Amazon. Seeing the home page and options is almost instantaneous after hitting the Sony On button and we haven't been experiencing the breaks for rebuffering we were having with the old player. We're very happy with the purchase.

Hello Heep! We would like to recommend to make sure that the option known as QUICK START MODE is set to ON through the menu of your Blu-ray player otherwise it is normal for the boot time to take around 30 to 40 seconds. Follow these steps to make sure the option is set to ON:
1 - Using the supplied remote, press the HOME.
2 - Press the left arrow until you reach the SETUP option
3 - Press the left arrow until you reach SYSTEM SETTINGS.
4 - Press the down arrow and select QUICK START MODE, turn feature ON.

I love it. I love how much smaller and quicker it is and now I can enjoy Netflix. My old Blu Ray took forever to start up and did not have wireless capabilities. I just needed an upgrade and i sure got it. Love it.
