Nice Features and styling

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this refrigerator for 3 months now and am very pleased with it. It fits perfectly in our space and has sleek styling with beveled edges. Occasionally there is condensation along the rubber stripping around the door.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Had to have repairs done after 3 years had the control panel replaced then now this year have to have the compressor replaced . Will never buy a ge appliance again .

What Happened to Quality Control and Reliability

Purchased about 5 years old and nothing but problems from the start. Needed a new control board within 6 months of purchase. Food freezes in vegetable tray, now the ice maker leaks water, and will not produce ice. After remodeling our kitchen with GE appliances, we will be hard pressed to do so again. Their quality and reliability is poor.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor Product

I have had many issues with this model. The ice maker leaks, and I have had to have the control board and the fan replaced. I have found mold forming on the back of my refrigerator due to lack of insulation in this model. I would not recommend purchasing this product.

Disappointed

Ran great for about 4 years before lights and ice/water dispenser failed. Replaced main circuit board and fixed the issue. A year later replaced the temp sensor when the unit stopped cooling. Now finally about 6 years in and its no longer cooling again and i was told it needs another new circuit board. Poor quality, I expected much more from GE. What a disappointment.

Trouble Trouble and Problems

First problem occured 2 years after purchase, crisper shelf above drawers trim crumbled in the left corner, replaced shelf with genuine GE parts and same issue trim crumbled again. Being serviced now for no power to display panel which doesn't allow water and iced to be dispensed, nor operate temperature adjustments. Servicemen have replace 3x front display panel and main control panel in rear of unit with still no power. Would not reccomend purchasing this unit. Any suggestions on how this problem can be resolved?

Counter Depth Fridge Review

Had this refrigerator for a few years, we removed a few of the shelves as the spacing between the shelves is not adequate. It does a great job, haven't had any cooling issues and it is an easy appliance to maintain (easy access to change-out filter). The ice cubes in the dispenser get frozen together if we don't use it regularly. Freezer is fine, limited space, but adequate for our use. We lost power a few times lately and have found that the freezer does not hold the cold for very long; think this is more of the way energy efficient units are built today. Appearance - Stainless Steel is very hard to keep looking nice. I have recommended the counter depth refrigerator, with a different finish, to a friend.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A Very Terrible Refrigerator

Like other reviews my GE appliances have been nothing but headaches. The builder package for this time period is filled with lemons. I already replaced the motherboard in the fridge 4 years ago. The water line quit working 3 years ago (ice maker was fine but the design causes the water line to freeze). Despite proper temperature setting, items in the fridge would freeze. It completely died this week. I’ve also had to replace the microwave oven which only lasted 4 years. The Dryer on/off button broke which requires a complete replacement of the computer panel. Needless to say - I will NEVER buy another GE product. If they spent as much time designing and building a quality product instead of trying to sell you an extended warranty they would be better served. GE products built for (life ?) expensive repairs and short lived service.
