Unusual design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Concept of unit is good. However, if you are under 5' 6" tall, you would have difficulty turning the fan on because the hood has to slide out making it difficult to reach over the fully extended hood to reach the buttons for the fan. The lights can be turned on without extending the hood.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this vent. It slides back out of the way when not in use and isn't an eyesore. It's fairly quiet even with the vent on the highest setting. The lights are great. So glad I went with this model.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband installed this a month and a half ago. We haven’t had it completely up and running for long though since he wasn’t aware that we needed an extra filter kit to recirculate the air into the room since my stove isn’t near a wall. It took 2 days shy of a month for that to arrive. I have no complaints, it works well and looks nice in my kitchen. I just wish the lighting was in a slightly different location since it’s bright on the back of my stove and darker at the front where I cook most often. I really do like it though.

Amazingly quiet!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very pleased with this hood. I have a smaller kitchen and didn't want a big hood that would overwhelm the room. It is easy to pull out, looks great and it removes smoke and odors quickly and quietly. You can hardly hear it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a year and a half ago, but did not have the opportunity to install this until a month ago. The installation was not easy, and the instructions were convoluted. It took a finish carpenter and my spouse 4 hours to get this in. But, once installed, it has been a fabulous finishing feature to our renovated kitchen. It takes up so little room, provides excellent lighting, and does an equally excellent job in venting the cooktop. It is not outrageously noisy. The pull-out glass hood extender does its job very well to keep steam/moisture front the cabinets this is installed in/under.
