the phones inability to perform even the simplest of functions is incredible. [i have done battle with Screen Unlock slider bar many times, many times its too slow to answer a call after 6-7 rings.. thats bad.]
Each phone has some different fascinating & debilitating problem with it.
TMobile will not let me change phones but will send me a replacement G2X anytime i want. Ive had 6 of these recently, all of them were awful.

The most recent one, the screen wont turn off and thats by the far best G2X ive had, so im keeping it for now.
I had one where the battery would drain in minutes if i plugged it into the wall with the charger
I've had several where phone calls over 2 minutes Never hang up [take battery out]
Ive never been able to successfully surf the internet on this phone with a great connection, 4G or WiFi.. too slow.
worst thing about this phone? getting stuck with it
Tmobile wont replace it, LG wont admit it should be put down. Do Not buy this phone [unless you want to buy mine?? ;]

Where is ICS?

This phone has great specs. LG has potential in making phones, but you have to give it some support on the software. Never again...

When I first got the phone I thought it was great, but that was almost two years ago. About a month after I got it, it started lagging and my apps weren't opening the way they were supposed to/running smoothly. The phone itself looks great, it's thin, and there's a lot of personalization possibilities, but it's not worth it anymore.
Now, my messages freeze one me, my apps still freeze and/or lag, and I find myself constantly turning it on and off so it'll work. And let's not forget the whole not updating to the newest Android operating system.
I still appreciate it (thanks LG), but I'm not sure if it's because I got it when it first came out or because the phone itself is outdated. If it's the latter then why is it still on the market?

I went in looking for the Samsung Galaxy and came out an LG G2x owner. This phone is fast, responsive, loaded with features, and you cannot beat the 1.5 GB's of storage for applications and built in 5.5 GB SDcard! With Google Music, I really don't need an additional external SDCard! This phone was upgraded to Android 2.3.3 which runs great. The battery will last an entire day even with moderate use. As with any smart phone, if you wear the battery down, then charge the device while it is off, you will get the best battery life. The only thing that would make this phone better would be an LG supported release of ICS! (Android 4.0)

I'm not a techie by no means but I love this phone! I can do everything on my phone PLUS MORE that my bf can do on his GalaxySIII! He thought he had the better phone and was so braggy about it, UNTIL he started messing with my P999 and kept saying " Ugh I can't do this with mine, or this, OR THIS! " HAHAHA I love it :))
