Zero Problems

I have a 2015 MacBook Pro with 2 Thunderbolt 2 ports. I wanted to take advantage of the Thunderbolt 2 ports and found this T-bolt 2 Express Dock. I have an HDMI display and an external backup drive. I plugged that configuration into my computer and it worked great. I had absolutely no problems and I have not experienced any delays. I'm very happy with it.

Monitors don't wake up + slow internet throughput
on April 25, 2019
Posted by: Daisy

Headphone jack hasn't ever worked, Internet connection is slowed down 75% when using this device and we've tested the connection, monitors go to sleep and won't wake up until I unplug them and plug them back in again. All of these things are echoed in other reviews I noticed. I've had this device about 2 months.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Dual monitors is next to impossible
on June 19, 2019
Posted by: Mojocoho
Bought this with the hopes of hooking up 2 displays (DP & HDMI) to a 2015 MacBook Pro, but was quickly disappointed. For a dual monitor setup to work, the dock REQUIRES that at least one of the displays be Thunderbolt. Not sure if this is a Belkin or Thunderbolt issue/restriction, but this limitation should be more widely noted.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great idea, but....
on March 17, 2018

I got issues with it.
- Screen flickering, even with just a single monitor hooked up.
- External screen takes forever to be registered after computer has been to sleep.
- Not able to boot from USB 3.0 connected hard drives
- Does not register mouse/keyboard on boot before im in the OS. (complicates a dual boot process/safe mode boot, entering initial password for booting etc.)
- Connected hard drives/usb drives does not power off, when computer does and just runs 24 hours a day.
- Slow(!!) charging through USB.
But in the end, i still connect all my devices with just a single chord, and thats pretty cool. Would not have bought it, had I known these issues, though.

2 monitors do not work well. Also, the headphone jack does not work. Not useful at all.

Issues with Cinema Display via mini display port
on October 27, 2016
Posted by: ttrinh
from Burbank, CA, United States
We have two users with 2015 MBP Retinas with 27" Cinema Displays. Sometimes when you boot the laptop with the dock plugged in, the screen stays black and never displays the login screen. Both MBPs has Filevault turned on. With the dock plugged in, sometimes the mouse cursor displays but it's at a black screen on both the MBP internal display and the 27" Cinema display. You will need to power-down the unit by holding down the power button.
If you unplug the dock and boot the laptop first, then sign in, and once the laptop displays, you can plug in the Dock. Using this method, it has been successful.
So far the clients had to boot up first and get to their desktop on the MBP before they could plug in the Thunderbolt dock.
I don't know if it's because the 27" Cinema Display is via mini display port instead of Thunderbolt.

Do not buy it.

I have a MacBook Pro 2016 with 4 Thunderbolt 3 ports, I have two Dell Monitors UP3214Q both are 4k monitors with Video connections (Display port, mini display port and HDMI). I decided to use the HDMI ports using 1 HDMI To thunderbolt 2 adapter cable, connecting this to the Hub, a thunderbolt 3 to thunderbolt 2 adapter connected to the hub, the second monitor I tried to connect the HDMI with the HDMI CONNECTION in the Hub but it doesn't work at all, so I decided to connect the second monitor with the HDMI and an adapter HDMI to Thunderbolt 3 directly in the MacBook Pro port, in this way both monitors works perfectly. The second issue is with the Network port, I believe it is not Gigabit port, my network connection RJ45 have a 200 Gigabits internet connection but using the Hub Network port the speed is less than 100 Gigabits,
Response from belkin.comBy BelkinCustomer SupportMay 28, 2017
Hi,

The dock does not support adapters for dual displays. The display/monitor connected to the Thunderbolt port must be a true Thunderbolt connection. As for your internet speed, we can have our Escalation Engineers look into this. Just send us your contact details at BelkinCares@belkin.com along with the link to this post.

We hope to hear from you soon.

Thaddeus

2nd monitors and internet fail to work regularly
on June 16, 2016

I purchased this last fall and have been struggling with it ever since. Using a Displayport connection to my Macbook Pro via Thunderbolt I find at least once a week it will not connect. If I connect my Mac directly then it works every time. Recently the network connection has started to do the same thing. There really seems to be a problem with this device.
Response from belkin.comBy BelkinBelkin Support June 20, 2016
Hi Mjervin,

We value the time you spent in sharing your experience with us. The dock shouldn’t affect the internet connection. Try to unplug and replug the power adapter. Once accomplished, check if the same thing happens. Let us know how it goes at BelkinCares@belkin.com with your contact details, location, and the link to this review for reference.
