I have replaced this jar a few times over the years-since I have the motor that is still going strong. I use it multiple times a day and love it so much.

Bottom Gasket Leaking and Shredding

I love my Blendtec, but was shocked to hear a loud noise coming from it when making a smoothie the other day and to see black shavings in my smoothie. Don't think it's a good idea to try to use it again and after reading the reviews here, I see this has been a problem with the jar. I have had it only a few years and seeing the price to replace the jar is so disheartening after paying the price I paid for it. How can I get this replaced under the warranty? I haven't had it for eight years.
Love our blendtec. Use every single day. We have o ver 3000 uses since purchasing 4 yrs ago (Each Blendtec gives you your number of uses to date). From coffee drinks to health shakes to hot soups.
I wish it could make smaller amounts like 8 ounces or less well. You have to put a good bit in there to get good results. Also, something this expensive shouldn’t have to be replaced with infrequent use. Had to replace after using less than 20 times.
While the original Jar was very functional and worked well, the WildSide is just a perfect step up for our blending. I use our Blendtec multiple times a day and it seems to me that the motor works more efficiently and the texture of our blends is smoother. I am a WildSide convert.
