The bearings went out twice; once under warranty and again 2 months after the warranty expired. So this is the 3rd jar we've had. It also doesn't pull all the food down so I frequently have to scrape the sides. But it does look like they've made a few changes to this model so I'm hoping it won't have those problems. When the food does get down to the blades it creams it really well.

Purchased about 4 years ago, warranty runs out after 3 years. On the 1099 blend the jar brakes on fresh veggies! Not even frozen! Now its $130 for a new jar... that is not cool!

When you buy a $300 blender with an 8 year warranty, you don't plan on having to replace the $100 jar three times in those years. I've been through 3 jars in that time. The rubber seal eventually falls apart, especially with heavy blending. Also, I can't seem to love the plastic jar. This is a deal breaker for me Blendtec :( I'm sad because I loved it at first so much.

I’ve had my blender for a decade and it has never worked so well as with this new jar. I’m kicking myself I didn’t order this sooner! Hollandaise sauce and Caesar salad dressing as well as smoothies have been enjoyed since ordering!

Excellent for smoothies and drinks with ice. I caution this is our 2nd wild side, and last one became loose around blade to point where it no longer worked after 4 years, average usage ( 1 to 2 times per week). Plastic gasket needs improvement, perhaps with heavier bearing. We’ll see how long this one lasts!
