Needed a new jar as it was getting leaky after 12 years. Our system is as good as new with the new jar. I like the design of the improved lid design.

The obvious difference is the recipe on the jar and placement of the handle, but the volume it they hold are the same and the interior structure seems to be the same, so what is the difference?

Better than the original jar that was purchased many years ago. This jar reduces the sound of the machine and my smoothies blend much quieter than before. Expensive, but happy with the purchase.
