Have had my Blendtec for a couple of years. Totally satisfied with the blender. On my second jar because of seal problem. The first was replaced under warranty. Looks like the next one is on me. I'm hesitant to but the next one if I can look forward to the same failure. Gonna do some shopping.

Our jars now have a 3-year warranty. Please be sure to contact our customer service team to find out if your jar is still under warranty, 800-253-6383.
Here's some tips to keep your jar running smoothly:
1. Spin the blade manually by the shaft on the bottom of the jar before each use to lubricate the blade shaft. 2. Don't use your jar as a storage container or let liquids sit in the jar overnight. 3. Wash your jar or use the Clean cycle immediately after each use.
Great blender when pitchers are not broken. Had 2 pitchers replaced in less than a year. They are replaced warranty but still a hassle. May have bite the bullet and go back to vitamix
I've had the total blender since February 2014 and have about 700 uses on it currently. I LOVE the Blendtec! The wildside jar is great for its capacity-we are a family of seven and need the bigger amounts when making smoothies and soups and such. I use it for everything: grinding wheat, making bread dough, making brownies/quick breads, crushing ice or bread crumbs, daily smoothies, ice cream, soup...I could go on... I need to get another one since my wheat and rice flour have clouded my jar considerably. :) I wish I could find a bundle! I'd buy three more in a heartbeat!
Lately the jar has had a few issues and I've had the smoking/over loading issues I've seen mentioned in a few other reviews. I contacted Blendtec tonight and pray to have a new jar before any major breakdown of this one! I don't know if I could go without it for one day! :D
We purchased our Blentec Signature Series over the Thanksgiving holiday and we absolutely love it! I love the Wild Side jar and I am thinking our ordering the FourSide jar as well.
I bought the wildside jar as a replacement for my regular jar when the latter's blender rotor blade seal shot black stuff all over the motor housing. I had bought a blendtec for my girlfriend with a wildside jar so I'm familiar with the advantages of this jar and I really like mine. I use it mostly to make morning smoothies where I can put nuts, veggies, fruit and all sorts of ingredients to aid my health. It handles everything quite well and I particularly like that it can start on a slow speed for other types of blending. After I bought the wildside jar I was contacted by a company representative who informed me that I had an active warranty on the blender and so I opted to accept a twister jar instead of a refund on the replacement jar. I'm looking forward to making peanut butter and hummus with the twister jar. I do, however, have a concern about the seals wearing out on the jars. The blendtec I got for my girlfriend is a year and a half old and I find black material oozing out of the bottom of the jar around the rotor/blade (see photo). As I think back on my original jar it showed those same signs. Yet there was never any leakage from the jar nor was there contamination of the ingredients of the jar and this holds true for the wildside jar that my girlfriend has. But when the seal blew on mine I didn't want to take a chance on leakage or contamination and so I ordered a new one. I'm posting this as a mixed review but I do like my blender!
I just received the Wildside jar, and I absolutely love it! I think that my daily blending is less noisy and I love the size of the jar. I am also a much happier with the new lid; I was still using my original jar with a smaller opening, and a narrower base. In general, this blender jar is much more user-friendly.
It works great for bread making and larger recipes. My one piece of advice is that when I bought the blender I didn't originally get the Wildside jar, but after using it for a while I wished I had. If I was to do it again I would have bought the package including the wild side jar from the start as I think it would have been a better deal.
