Blendtec is my favourite blender and I would recommend it to others ( for its performance). It is fantastic for south Asian cooking ( dosa batters, curry pastes , etc). And easy to clean because the blades are blunt.
It performs better than the Indian preethi blenders ( with stainless steel jar). But I really miss the stainless steel Jar that Indian blenders Offer and can’t wait for blendtec to introduce a stainless steel option .
Today I bought a replacement mini stainless steel jar for Preethi blender instead of getting the blendtec-go jar because I really didn’t want to blend babyfood in plastic . I Had been waiting for months to see what other stainless steel jar work for blendtec .
Unfortunately “waring jar” doesn’t work on blendtec like it works for Vitamix.
So while the performance is top class, if you want to avoid the plastic , I would recommend something else.
We have had a Blentec Blender for about 5 years now. It goes through everything including ice cubes and frozen fruit to make smoothies. Wanted a second jar to make more smoothies and it works just as great as the original.
Amazing blender! I recently had to purchase a new jar because I wore out the 1st jar. Wouldn't go with another blender. Love that the motor is still running great after 6 years.
I have had this for over a month and I love it! I make smoothies every day for my husband and I. This wide size jar gives us both a pretty large smoothie that we can enjoy! I'm so happy with my purchase!
I replaced my older jar (bought the unit as a refurb 10 yrs ago) because it was pretty cloudy, getting hard to clean and leaky at the bottom. This replacement jar is a larger version, but works perfectly with my blendtec. Cleans up with a rinse and no more links. Our motor keeps on chugging just fine after 10 years of use.
This is a great jar and what a blessing to have a brand new one. I’ve always wondered if the reason blendTec doesn’t have a pusher poker like vita mix does is because of copyright reasons. But I made my own one! I picked up some PVC plastic pipe and duck taped the end. Use a plastic ring as a marker so you don’t push the poker down too far and hit the blades, works great. The five corner jar is a good idea but still not as good as having a pusher poker, no comparison
