My other one cracked due to being put in the dishwasher. Blendtec helped me get a new one sent ASAP so we can enjoy our smoothies. I'm still not sure if I'm in love with the new lid....but it totally works.
Purchased the WildSide+ Jar after one of my original 4-sided jars wore out. The newer design works beautifully on our morning smoothies and whatever else we throw at it.
I just transitioned to a vegan diet and the extra capacity in the Wildside+ jar is exactly what I needed. I could not be more pleased by my beloved Blendtec blender and my new, high capacity jar.
Pricey, but makes the smoothest smoothies without having to rattle or pound on the blender or stick anything down into the jar to make sure everything is blended. Plus, they last nearly forever. I just replaced mine that made a smoothie nearly everyday for the last eight years.
This is about the 4th Wildside jar I've bought, since I've had the blender for about nine years. I am finally resolved on developing the discipline of washing it out immediately after each use, emptying it into a cool silicone graduated vessel for serving. The five-sided design allows it to reliably process an enormous amount of fruits and vegetables fresh and frozen with some added liquid into about 2 quarts of whole juice in one run at that setting. That's a mighty breakfast for three plus some extra for a snack later. The only thing that has led me to replace these jars previously was the buildup on the sides of the jar over the course of a year and a half or so, which can look totally gross and is impossible to remove. So I'm trying to reform as has been recommended by Blender Babes and clean it without delay. All that's needed is an appropriate pitcher. I use one of my old lids instead of the newer design since I am able to scrape the precious juice that's thrown onto the bottom of the lid cleanly back into the jar in four swipes.
I absolutely love my blendtec, and it was made even better when I got my first wildside jar. It never gets jammed and it just pulverizes whatever you put in there. I really load mine up with frozen fruit sometimes and this jar makes the smoothest smoothies out of even the hardest ingredients.
