Good brand terrible hardware!

Please help! I was willing to pay up for a quality blender but ended up wasting money on food because I blended black plastic into my smoothie. Gross! And now I see the jar is nearly as expensive to replace than to just buy a new blender. Shame on you Blendtec! I trusted you. Is there any warranty???

NOT more efficient!

I purchased the WildSide Jar because of the promise of more efficient blending. To me, that means less cavitation so that you don't have to stop and start so many times. I think I actually have to stop MORE often with this jar to stir and get the mix pushed back down to the blade. I regret that I didn't just replace my 20 year old Vitamix. Blendtec needs to come up with a tamper tool that safely pushes the food down to the blade WHILE it is running like Vitamix and Thermomix have. It is beyond frustrating that I have to stop it so often. So 90 seconds of blending takes me a minimum of 3 minutes to complete. But 90 seconds of blending in a Vitamix takes 90 seconds. The only improvement this jar has over the original is that you can have a bigger volume.

I make hard core green smoothies with lots of frozen fruit and greens and the Wildside jar blends like a champ! I also make soups and nut milk and butter and it works better than any other jar. I’m on my second jar (my dog chewed up the lid of the former one) and I love it. I’ve been making green smoothies with my Blendtec blender for 9 years!

Less noisy than the first jar that came with our blender but still loud enough when grinding frozen items that you want to hold your ears. Love the additional capacity but be care to not overload. Does an excellent job making very smooth smoothies.

Things do seem to blend better in this jar vs the regular jar. I pack a lot of greens and veggies into my smoothies and this “Wildside” jar seems to allow for better, faster and more complete blending.

I bought a Blendtec Blender Model ES3 with the jar is Wildside Jar 32 Oz , Part# 40-505 many years ago .Now the Jar leaked, How can I order a jar replacement that fits to my blendtec blender

Love my wildside jar!

I've had the total blender since February 2014 and have about 700 uses on it currently. I LOVE the Blendtec! The wildside jar is great for its capacity-we are a family of seven and need the bigger amounts when making smoothies and soups and such. I use it for everything: grinding wheat, making bread dough, making brownies/quick breads, crushing ice or bread crumbs, daily smoothies, ice cream, soup...I could go on... I need to get another one since my wheat and rice flour have clouded my jar considerably. :) I wish I could find a bundle! I'd buy three more in a heartbeat!
Lately the jar has had a few issues and I've had the smoking/over loading issues I've seen mentioned in a few other reviews. I contacted Blendtec tonight and pray to have a new jar before any major breakdown of this one! I don't know if I could go without it for one day! :D
