Advantium Microwave/Convection Oven

Love my new Advantium Microwave/Convection Oven. Love that since I needed a new Microwave to go with our other new GE appliances during our kitchen remodel that we were able to purchase this oven to serve as both microwave and extra oven when needed. We were going to buy a cooktop and double oven unit and this appliance enabled us to save some money by not having to do that, and I'm sure that since it is just my husband and I at home that we will probably utilize this to cook in most of the time instead of turning on our larger range and therefore we will save money in doing so. Can't say enough about it.

Full featured microwave plus convection cooking

As a microwave oven, this unit performs fantastic. The controls are easy to use and there's lots of options for cooking such as reheating soups, chicken, meat, casserole, etc. It can be used easily without the bells and whistles, or by simply turning the knob, you can have it become a bit smarter, sensing when food is hot or defrosted. in addition to being a microwave, it also has multiple cook modes such as quick cook, convection bake, and toast. Some of these modes utilize a halogen light bulb. I have not been successful with toasting - it seems like a slow process that a toaster can do much easier. I have not tried convection cooking either, so I cannot comment on that. The quick cook feature combines microwave with heat, adding crispness to things like a baked potato -- the unit will use the microwave for a period of time, then switch to convection, then switch back to microwave.

This is the best thing I put into the house we just built - microwave, but now I have a second oven without having to have compromise counter space for a double oven. Works better than I expected.

I just replaced my 2001 model Advantium 240V oven. The new oven has many new and improved features over my old oven. I am glad that I made this purchase.

We have had our Advantium for over a year and absolutely love it!! It has efficiently baked, roasted and microwaved itself into our hearts! Anyone considering a convection/microwave, please purchase this GE unit!
