Really Great Microwave & wall oven all in one!

I bought this two months ago and I'm extremely pleased with it. It cooks fast and has easy to understand features. It doubles as a regular oven for those times you need extra oven space. It is very modern looking and looks great in my kitchen. I wish I would of bought this micro/oven years ago...it would of made my life much easier!

Bying Our Second GE Advantium was right on

When our first Advantium started to fail after twelve years, we knew we had to find another similar oven and the new Advantium was clearly the best choice. We selom use our conventional oven. for almost anything the Advatium is better. And it is also te best microwave we have ever had. Speedcook is incredible for broiling and things like frozen pizza. There is little that can't be done with an Advantium

Poor design

We've owned this microwave for about six months now, and have had a GE tech out twice already, and he is scheduled for a visit tomorrow ! At the two week old mark, while warming a liquid in the unit, some of it spilled and ran right down through the perforations under the turntable. Service call one ! Apparently the cooking area is not sealed from the electronics / mechanical areas. I would think that over 50% of consumer use, is heating some type of liquids ! Well thought out design ! Next, the rotary dial on the control panel started functioning intermittently, service call #2. Tomorrows visit is also for the rotary dial. Plus side.....when it works, it does so well !
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Advantium is the clear winner

When we bought our new motor coach, we didn't hesitate to specify the Advantium oven in the galley. We have had one in our condo for several months, and found it to be the most useful appliance in the kitchen. It is so versatile I use it for the majority of my cooking.
