I have only made biscuits so far. I like the preset options. Trouble is the window is small as I had to get a step stool to check on them.

Works very well but the door handle is poor

The door handle on this microwave has failed twice in the five years we have owned it. Fortunately I am not able to replace it myself.

Small dent on bottom, but otherwise good

Have already tried Speedcook several times with excellent results for both brownies and frozen breaded fish. Preheating is not required and cook time is significantly shorter, so time and energy are saved. Plus the house doesn’t get heated up. Also using custom cook settings for regularly cooked items (e.g., oatmeal), and this is handy. Basic MW functions work well. Inner lamp brightness is MUCH better than prior model. As noted in title, the underside had a small dent. Since it is generally out of sight, and we didn’t want to hassle with return and re-delivery, particularly during COVID-19 shelter-in-place, we just kept it, and it hasn’t bothered us. Overall, recommended.

So far so good, but get a toaster for bread.

I bought the GE Advantium because I wanted to get rid of the toaster oven on my countertop. I wanted oven capabilities of the Advantium so I could avoid using the large one in my stove, which is quite warm to use on hot day. The Advantium performs the microwaving tasks as expected, and the convection oven performs well. I tried toasting bread, but this function seems to take a long time. Get a toaster, if you toast bread very often. Also, careful lifting items out of the Advantium after using speed cook or convection bake, as the interior will be quite hot. A mitten will be more protective than a simple hot pot holder. If you have microwaving and baking task to do back to back, you'll need t keep in mind that the baking and speed cook functions will make the oven interior hot to the touch. so be very careful removing the metal pan and rack before microwaving.

Functional but not Great

Microwave doesn’t heat evenly or consistently. Sometimes it takes 3 minutes of running to heat refrigerated leftovers through. The oven function is loud and slow to heat and after two years the heat damper needs to be replaced.
This was part of a new build and didn’t have much choice from builder’s packages.
Would not have bought this if I had a choice
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
