We did a complete kitchen remodel and when we saw this at the company that made our cabinets we knew we had to have one! Since we had done away with our range and put in a wall oven, we had this oven installed over a counter between the sink and a patio door and it works great! I use the vent when I use my electric frying pan. And it had even more features than we knew, so we have ended up using this product more than the brand new wall oven!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought one in 2004 and just loved it. It was just replaced 10/2016 after 14yrs. It's a great product!

Very pleased with this item. Time on clock is not visable when unit is not in operation, a little disappointing, but not a major issue.

3 replaced units and one pending repair

The appliance worked for 10 months, and since has been replaced 3 times. Within one week of the last re-install I'm waiting for service to replace one of the speed cook bulbs.....not a happy camper.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this oven to replace my microwave. But, it is also an oven. It has settings for convenience foods. I never bother with gizmo features on appliances. But, I tried the speed cook for a frozen pizza. It was great--I chose: pizza, frozen, rising crust, 6". It cooked it perfectly using microwave, convection heat, ceramic heater, and halogen light. It really worked.
I'm glad I took a risk and got a technology-savy oven, instead of just a microwave.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I ordered this oven weeks to replace my existing 5-year-old Advantium. This is the 3rd Advantium I've had. The first lasted over 10 years; the 2nd just 5 years.
This current oven didn't last 3 hours before it started making a mechanical noise sounding like some kind of vent fan trying to start up and failing. Over and over and over. While the oven is not doing any cooking!
So 3 hours after installation I had to call GE and schedule a warranty service appointment. And I had to unplug the oven, which leaves me without a microwave for at least a week until the repair appointment.
Needless to say I am not a happy camper. Clearly GE's quality of design and manufacturing has steadily declined in 15 years. This will definitely be the last GE appliance I purchase.
