Best Oven EVER!!

I have owned an Advantium oven for since 2008. Best purchase I have ever made and will always own one as long as they are in existence!

Great Addition to the kitchen

I bought this product with hopes as well as hesitation. I was in disbelief of what this product could perform!!! It does everything it says and more!!!!! The only flaw is keeping it clean and knowing what to use to not ruin this unique and great product! I am to the point where i want to try oven cleaner as it takes a good 3 hours after a roasted chicken do to not being able to cover. But trust me with my very busy life i will find the time until i come across a better way to clean it because not using it is NOT an option. My other half would like if i didn't use it cause he panics when it gets dirty LOL! He loves the food i cook in it though! All that being said it cooks everything perfectly and juicy! Also will make the crispies if desired and you can make your own recipes and set them yourself! I love my Advantium seriously!!!! And NO I was not compensated in any way writing this review.

No simultaneous convection and microwave cooking

User interface is not efficient - too many button pushes needed for 15 or 30 seconds of microwave cooking OR turning the fan or light off. The interface 25 years ago was a LOT simpler - one button for all of the simple tasks with a simple numeric pad to select EXACTLY the number of seconds to cook, not increments and nothing in between with fudging with the beast.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

UNIT REPLACED BECAUSE THE EXHAUST FAN DID NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY. INSTALLED OVER COOKTOP. MOISTURE COLLECTED, STEAMED UP THE ENTIRE FRONT OF UNIT. REPLACEMENT UNIT DOES NOT WORK MUCH BETTER. PURCHASED ADDITIONAL COVERAGE.

We love the oven,
with one exception. It doesn't vent/fan out all that great. We have to run it on high. It needs a bit better ventilator

Perfect for busy families

This oven is an amazing piece of technology that replaced my microwave, toaster oven, and, in many cases, my regular oven. Like with most GE products, this oven is designed for people who actually cook. The speed cook component of the oven is truly remarkable; however, there is a learning curve around this feature. The cook must know what percentage of each type of energy to use. Expect some trial and error around this feature if you make your own recipes, rather than the preprogrammed selections. Overall, I am very happy with this product and glad I purchased it.

Poor construction of prior model

We bought a GE Profile Advantium microwave/oven 6 years ago. We had to replace the plastic shaft assembly that the plate sits on after 4 years. Now the door, which is also part plastic, is broken in two places, and the handle is hanging loose at the bottom. We were told to only use soapy water when cleaning the inside. Food has spattered inside and baked on, and soapy water does not even remotely get it clean. We love the concept of a combination microwave/oven and have used it a lot. A word to the wise: check out the new ovens and make sure that they are not constructed with plastic on the door and shaft. We bought a double wall oven and microwave to match..Our Advantium model is no longer available and the style of the new models does not match ours. So now we will have appliances that do not match in our kitchen. Supposedly 10 years is the average life of these appliances - so why is the style no longer available.after only 6 years?. we gave it an overall 3 rating, but the rating for the construction would be 1, while the rating for the use would be 4.5.

Very versatile

Its the perfect 2d oven. I use it quite often when baking smaller quantities or dont want the added heat in the house the big range puts out.
