Advantium Microwave

We replaced our original advantium microwave with a new and improved version. We loved our old one and wouldn't think of replacing it with anything else. We're getting use to the rolling up and down instead of across. The only thing I really miss is having a clock when it's not in use but I'm getting use to it. We went with stainless steel this time to go with our new GE Profile double oven. Our kitchen is complete and we're happy with the results.

Love the Speed Cook

We'd had a GE Convection Microwave in our last house. When we moved, our kitchen had older GE appliances, and when the frig died we replaced them all. I've used the convection when I needed a second oven, and the Speed Cook is great - baking with no preheat time! I've done deep-dish frozen pizza several times (the pizza fits perfectly on the tray), frozen egg rolls, but have to learn more. Would buy it again if I need to.

This replaces one that is 17 years old. Exact same model - some new updated features that provide more cooking options. Hope it lasts as long.

The Replacement

We like the features of having a microwave, light , and convection oven all in one. We loved our previous Advantium, it was almost 20 years old before the microwave portion quit. Our previous one was a 30 Amp setup, while this new one is only a 15 Amp set, so it's a bit frustrating when the cook time used does not fully cook the item and additional time is needed often.

The fact that there is NO replacement part for the instrument panel on a brand new microwave is unbelievable! You think it’s more economical & environmentally sound to just dump & replace? SHAME ON YOU!
