This product has exceeded my expectations in terms of function. I was running it on the 4 hour cycle for the first 2 weeks but now it runs on the 2 hour cycle and keeps our daylight basement nice and dry. I have tried other brands of de-humidifiers in the past that just didn't perform or they broke down. The LG has performed flawlessly under heavy use. Short of installing a commercial grade unit in my basement, this LG does the trick for a lot less money.

I use the dehumidifier in my basement which is very damp. I love the modern design. It handles the dampness very well. When I forget to turn it on I notice the difference right away. Also, once I turn it back on, it dries the atmosphere very quickly. I've had other brands that claimed "automatic shut-off" but somehow still continued to run and ultimately resulted in water leaking out. That doesn't happen with this product. Not only does it shut off when filled, it actually shuts off before the container is filled to the brim which makes it easy to empty without water sloshing over the sides as I walk to the sink. Overall I am very happy with the product.

Have tried using the 2 and 4 hour on and then off. I have also used the automatic setting for humidity control. Both ways the unit is great. If I have a preference I would just leave it on automatic and let the unit do all the work. Dollar for dollar the unit works great.

Quit working after about four months

Has great features like the two and four hour timer. Ran hose into drain and it worked well until now. Blowing cold air out of the back and is not collecting water. It is still under warranty, but not looking forward with dealing with customer support. I have no repair site in my area. UGH!

Overflowing bucket

The bucket sometimes is hard to remove and hard to properly return to its place in the unit. Also, occassionally the floater that indicates the bucket is full does not work causing the bucket to overflow. Fortunately, the appliance is in an unfinished part of the basement.

In general, this is a good product, but needs improvement on the hose attachment feature. It does not fit securely in the back of the unit and can pull-out if the unit is moved at all on its wheels.

Product did not work from day 1

This product failed to condense water from day one. I do not think this unit was tested at the factory. The quality control sure missed this unit.
