Appreciate the quietness and quality of the unit .

I have a real 'molecular water' problem in the storeroom of my basement (no bulk water, just high humidity). This unit seems to be able to bring the humidity level down to tolerable levels. I have it hooked up to drain into a 'trap', which is plumbed into my plumbing waste line--works very well. The one feature that would make this a real '5 star' unit would be an LED readout of the relative humidity (RH) and temperature of the air entering the unit. The only readout this unit gives is the RH% that I set the unit to shut off at. I run my unit on the 'on 2 hrs/off 2 hrs' setting and a target RH level of 55%. It would be very nice to know what the humidity level of the air entering the unit is when it turns on (after being off for 2 hours) and how rapidly it brings the humidity level down to the desired level.
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use, Quality, quietness
I would recommend this to a friend!

Disposable Dehumidifier

My third dehumidifier just died after only 1 year of service, so now I get to see how LG handles warranty issues. These dehumidifiers operate nicely - they are quiet, work well, and it is easy to hook up the drainage to an external drain. But, they simply do not last. The first one lasted 3 years, the second for two years, and my most recent purchase only 11 months.

Lowe's recommended it. Worked fine for a year...

My LD451EGL worked fine for about a year although it was very noisy, seems the outside plastic cover had some vibrations in it that I couldn't resolve. Beginning the second year it kept running continually, but deposited very little, if any, water in the bucket. I took the covers off to check and clean, if needed, (it didn't) and put it back together. Still no water in the bucket. Only thing I can figure is that it lost its' coolant. Seems no one in the world wants to recharge it. Looks GREAT but DOESN'T WORK!!! Perhaps the compressor??? But how do I have that determined???
Pros: easy to use, Features/Settings

Work Horse Dehumidifier

I bought an LG to replace my old LG (which ran great for over 8 years!). My basement is comfortable and is not musty thanks to having these units. The new unit runs quietly and does a great job of removing the dampness from the air. With having my home office in the basement along with the TV room, I practically live in my basement. You can't go wrong with this unit!
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality

Good for the money

does what it says, and the LED display and push-button controls make it easy to set accurately. only drawback is it seems louder than the 20 yr old model it replaced. a dull/low buzzing that sometimes changes to humming. other than that it seems like a solid unit
Pros: easy to use, Features/Settings
I would recommend this to a friend!
