I bought this unit this summer to help remove humidity from my basement after about 1" of rainwater seeped into the basement following a record rain fall.
It has a removable container that you can empty when the unit is full. If you have a very damp basement, it also has an attachment you can connect a hose to that will allow continuous dehumidifying without need to empty the container frequently. All you need is a drain/catch basin nearby for the water to drain into. My only complaint so far is that the unit is louder than I anticipated, which isn't a huge problem but can be annoying at times. This unit also creates quite a bit of heat as it operates, if you have it in a smaller room it may raise the temperature of the room a few degrees.

We purchased this dehumidifier to help reduce humidity in a large walk-in closet. We live in a high humidity environment and have constant problem with mold and mildew, especially in low air-flow areas such as closets. This dehumidifier easily did the job, and works quietly while doing so. The only two issues that we have had with the unit are the original cost and determining the amount of electricity used by the unit. The original purchase price was high, but not that much different from lower powered units. I looked for some sort of energy star rating or power usage information, and none was easily available. I will have to wait for my first electric bill to determine the cost of operation. Other than that it has been great.

Set up was easy and adding the hose for drainage very easy. Keeps humidity at the level set for. Noise is about average compared to any other dehumidifier we've had.

Good machine and easy to operate. The humidity adjustment and fan controls are easy to use and accurate. A little on the noisy side, but better than similar products I have used.

I had to buy this unit to replace one of its predecessors that finally stopped working properly after 9 years of steady service in the very humid southeastern United States. I do miss the display with both the target and current humidity readings, but otherwise I am hoping it will be as dependable as the previous unit. It is good looking enough that it isn't obnoxious even the living room, which is important too.

The first month of using this product was fine. It is easy to operate, collects moisture well, never gets clogged. It continues to do a good job on humidity, however it has become extremely noisy when being used.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
