This product fits our needs

We have purchased / had five (5) LG Portable Air Conditioners and have only had a major problem with one of them. The condenser sprung a leak and lost all the Freon and wouldn't heat or cool as it was supposed to do.
This was a replacement for that one and is working well.
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Quality

Only complaint we have is the drain plug is too close to the floor. There is no way we can even get a cookie sheet under it let alone something to collect 3 pints of water as stated in the product manual.

Two Summers and that was it!!

The product has some nice features, but there appears to be an inherent flaw in the components. I couldn't believe that after sparse use over two short summer seasons, that it no longer produces cold air. The compressor still runs, but there is no longer cold air coming from the outlet vent. After doing some online research, I found that there are numerous reports of this model dying after two years so it appears to be a flaw. And it is interesting to note that LG has reduced their warranty on the compressor from five to one year. I am really disappointed with this product. Like others, I considered LG to be a premium line. Ironically, we also own two Danby portable AC's (which don't have the LG features) but that also date back two seasons and they are still working perfectly. And I thought I was taking a chance on that brand. We'lll be heading out tomorrow to buy another one. I am unable to recommend this LG product. I do own an LG 3D 55" TV that I still love so I'm not trashing the company, just this AC. In some way, I'm hoping that an LG CS Rep will contact me to offer some assistance...it would be the right thing to do.

So 2 of my 3 LG products have ceased to function
I don't trust LG quality any more....

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i use these as backups when my central air breaks down and had one upstairs and one downstairs ..both came in handy this past summer and kept my house cool which was a workout living in the desrt in antelope valley

If you deployed to Iraq, you know what Chuck Norris hot feels like. 120+ F and high humidity...we used LG units over there (thanks to Navy SeaBees), so I decided to give this product a go to beat back the New England heat/humidity.
This device works the way the engineers designed it and follows all laws of thermodynamics...it does what LG says it will do. It brought the downstairs of my home from 85 F and high humidity down to 70F...comfortably cool in under an hour. We cooled our tents in Iraq the same way in the same ammount of time.
Good job LG leaders and people. Thanks.

My air conditioner

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, it. I can finally get a good nights sleep, also during the day if I get to hot, I can go into my bedroom and sit in comfort to watch tv. Finally an air conditioner that doesn't block my window, so I can still see out of it and enjoy the view of the county side. When I go to another room, I just unplug it and hook it up, so easy!!! Thanks for a wonderful product. I certainly, without a doubt can recommend this product, especially to people who don't want a beastly window air conditioner hanging out of their window.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality, it can be moved with ease, it's easy on the eye, love the remote control feature, easy on the utility bill, beats paying 20000 for forced air, our dog loves it too.
