Product works well. Is somewhat louder than advertised. Easy hook up. Cools off large space.

We live in a cape style home and purchased 2 of these portable units 1 for upstairs & 1 downstairs.
1. I like the looks of the units.
2. I like that it has a remote control.
3. The unit downstairs is adequate but I expected more from the unit output upstairs.
4. The units are not really quite.

I have purchased four portable air conditioners and the first three died within a year and did not cool the room down. The LG works great, cools the room down, and cools better than my wall unit. I highly recommend the LG portable air conditioner.

Compressor went after first year, and now the compressor and a year later the compressor and exhaust fan will not run for more than 30 minutes.
Waste of money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Absolutely Amazed!

We bought this unit in hopes of achieving coolness for our entire main level space which is comprised of a sunken living room, dining room/kitchen, and an entry way family room. Out of all of these areas, we only have 2 small windows that would never accommodate a window unit with enough power to make a dent in the soaring temperatures we were experiencing. Therefore, we believed this to be our best possible option since we could attach the slats/exhaust hose into one of those tiny window frames with no problem. We questioned whether it would have enough power to pull off our ambitious goal, but it proved us wrong and is simply amazing how well this works for our needs! We enjoy the touch button features, the back lit display screen, access via remote control, and the ability to uninstall it and put it away with ease when winter arrives. I would strongly recommend this unit!

Poor Manufacturing, QA control

My unit lasted for 40 days of use. I took it to a repair shop and they said the Freon was low and the condenser had burned spot from a factory repair which must had a Freon leek from the get go.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Handy Portable Air Conditioner

This is the first air conditioner I have owned, so I cannot compare it to others. It is adequate for our needs, as we do not experience very many 90+ degree days. The unit cools about 500 square feet to a tolerable temperature. I like the portability and window ventilation. The various options (fan only, etc) are good. We were expecting it would keep the house a little colder, and if we lived in a warmer climate it would not work as well. The unit is a little noisy, but tolerable.

First summer the unit worked fine and I was very pleased with it. Second summer the unit worked fine until one month beyond the 12 month warranty. Trouble with exhaust fan locking up began at that time, and eventually the exhaust fan locked up completely, leaving me with nothing but a fan to cool the 95º to 108º summer heat. I do not recommend purchase of LG portable air conditioner units.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
