only works two years!!

My conditioner does not work any more. After two years!! Realy disappointed.

The unit worked good for the first summer, then leaked water on the floor the second summer, I had to run caulking around the bottom where the front and rear panels are attached, water was leaking where they meet and the basin was not full. over all bad design. Also the unit stopped blowing cold air this summer even though the compressor still works.
Pros: easy to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This A/C cools very well, but the thermostat does not know when to shut off.
Examples - set to 80, go to work
come home to 73 degrees. Did not mean for the A/C to run all day!

Go to bed at 73, wake up in middle of the night at 80 degrees. Not good.
I had a different make before; used it for 3 years before it broke down. Now I have another of that brand. Sorry, LG - you make many fine products. This model of room A/C is not one of them.

This product has great features and convenience

We purchased this unit for a few reasons. We had new windows installed and it was getting harder for us to put window units in and out of the windows.
We purchased one unit which we are pleased with its performance. It not only cools our 12 x 20 living room but our small 8 x 12 kitchen has not been this comfortable in years. We also have a large family room that when the unit is directed to it becomes more comfortable.
After we tried this unit we then purchased 2 more smaller LG units to be used in 2 bedrooms.
We have been very happy with our recent LG purchases.

My AC is doing a great job

This product exceeds my expectations. My central air recently stopped working and I am using this unit with another LG window unit to cool my home. At this time I am not going to have the central air repaired due to the fact that these two LG units are more than doing the job for us. We only use the large unit during the day and the smaller unit is in the bedroom and we use this 24/7 and first thing in the morning turn on the larger unit. We also use the timer and the installation was very simple and we are able to move the unit during the day to make the best use of the cool air. In the near future we are going to get new appliances and they will also be LG

EXCELLENT PURCHASE

We had a portable one like this- it had broken and we received this unit as a gift from my sister and brother-in-law. He had researched it and found this to be the best fit for our apartment. It is quieter, keeps the room cooler, and is sleak in its design-(not an eyesore)---we are extremely happy with this product.
