I bought a KitchenAid dishwasher a few years back so when I received a monetary gift I decided to get new appliances. Refrigerater, stove and microwave completed our kitchen. We loved them. Now, for health reasons, we moved to a ranch style home. The people who bought our old home wanted us to leave our appliances so we agreed to their offer. Now after living in our present home for only a few weeks, we went out and replaced everything except the dishwasher with KitchenAid. That will have to wait until we replace the countertops with granite.

After owning this refrigerator for just under 2 years the ice maker has failed for the second time! The first time it was replaced under warranty, now the warranty period is over so I am back to bagged ice. I refuse to pay to have it repaired again. Plus no matter how many times the ice dispenser is used, after about two - three weeks the ice tray turns into a big solid clump of ice that jams the dispenser resulting in all the ice having to being dumped out into the sink!
Now on to the temp control for the center draw, this couldn't be in a worse spot! it gets continually bumped out of the setting every time something is put in the refrigerator and most of what is in it gets frozen and ends up in the trash!
The shelf along side of the ice maker is useless unless you want something frozen.
To sum up my review, the purchase of the unit is the biggest waste of money I have ever spent, if I could afford to replace it, it would be on its way to the scrap yard!!!!
It might look real nice and I have to admit it stores a ton of stuff, but save your hard earned money and buy some other brand or model, also be aware that this ice maker is used in other brand refrigerators.

The middle drawer is perfect for my 5 year old daughter. She can be independent this way. We put juice boxes and yogurts and there is still plenty of room for veggies.

We like the bottom-freezer as it keeps refrigerator items within easy reach for our children. The built-in water filter and spill-proof shelf is ideal for our family. The ice storage unit is a bit large, but it makes ice continuously. The digital controls on the front door are a nice feature. The small drawer is also a convenience factor that helps keep our food fresh longer.

I waited several months to write my review so I could give a honest review of my new 4 door (french door) refrigerator. I have really enjoyed most of the features provided and especially the 3rd door drawer convenience and adjustable shelves.. I have only 2 small negatives regarding the refrigerator and that is that the ice container takes up such a large portion of the left upper section of the refrigerator and the other is the door alarm is very soft in sound and there is no way to turn up volume and hopefully that will be addressed in Kitchen Aid future design.
