I just love the vegetable drawer in this refrigerator, and the freezer on the bottom! It is awesome and easy to use. The only issues I would say I have are with the outside water and ice dispenser. It seems to take a long time to get ice out.

We are very happy with our new refrigerator. It is so easy to see what you have in the refrigerator, unlike the side-by-side where items can get lost in the back of the shelves. Also, I am a fan of Kitchenaid, since my last refrigerator was a Kitchenaid and we never had to have service on it. It lasted 15 years and it is still running. I decided to trade up to the French door model.

The large produce drawer is a wonderful feature. It keeps vegetables fresh - no plastic bags! It has sliding see through compartments and is really easy to remove for cleaning. There is a large, deep bottom freezer drawer as well while the top portion of the fridge is all refrigerator. It opens wide for easy viewing and access. We are very pleased with this purchase.
Pros: Performance, Convenient Features, Design, easy to use, Innovative
Cons: you need a deep wide space to fit this appliance.

Excellent design, good performance, with one design flaw

I would have rated this appliance higher, due to it's excellent design and many features except for the ice maker. It has to be the worst ice maker I have ever experienced.
I have learned that one must press the glass (vertically) up tight against the ice dispenser, as the cubed ice comes out inconsistently. Some times it works fine, other times, it pauses, then tosses out small pieces seemingly at random. It can be "sloppy", meaning that you will have some pieces flying out at odd angles, ending up on the floor. A number of guests have experiences this.
For us, the best feature is the middle, slide-out drawer. We love this feature.
Also, the water filters are somewhat pricey (approx. $48 ea.) and need to be replaced at least every six months.
